no thanks, ill just get the sony a6000 for 500$
fail
either save your money for a D500 or save some money and get a used D7200 because this offers no real benefits unless you are looking to upgrade from a D3xxx or D5xxx and even then i refer you to the earlier part of this comment.
Without only 2 features, 2 SD slots and battery grip, D7500 is out of 7xxx league. It means D7500 is not a D500’s little brother nor D7200 successor. It is closer to D5xxx level. Greedy Nikon just killed one of the most beautifully designed body… But appearance without specific technology is only a dusting piece of gear on a shop’s shelf.
Not exciting at all. I will stay with my D7100 – it’s way more pro than this toy.
No way to by the camera body that cost so much with only 1 SD card slot! Nikon engineers go crazy with this camera.
One of the stupidest designs ever for Nikon. Idiots designed this one. Trying to protect the D500 market they shot themselves right square in the foot with this one. Features missing that no 7000 series camera has never been without… 2 card slots… battery grip just to name a couple. The D7000 is a better camera in many ways available used for $350 in excellent condition. Really a couple more blunders this big and Nikon will be out of business. Feedback from Nikon users my ass… no way.
Autoiso ? 10 years late
fail
Why did Nikon feel the need to bridge the gap between a d7200 and d500? Why make a new segment? I thought Nikon was restructuring and rationalising its product line-up? This is in fact a lower level than the d7000 series. It’s actually more at a d5000 series level.
What a fucking disappointment. Bad bad choice this time Nikon. Go on this way and you’ll be sold to Sony in a few years.
Could have wish the Nikon d7500 has 24 mega pixel then 20.9 Mega pixel and also still have 2 SD Card slot, that’s a bit discouraging for me and the Nikon Users.
Welcome the successor to the D5600. Upgrade from the 7200. NOT. Smells like a load of manure
why all the hate?
WOW what a big FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there going to be a kit with the 16-80 2.8 to 4 like the D500 is kitted with? That’s the real winner.
There’s more features left out……..a 20.9 mega-pixel sensor instead of a 24 mega-pixel sensor, 1 card slot instead of 2, no NFC connection, no battery grip, lower resolution display, and NO AI-coupling for older Nikon lenses. The D7200 is still a better buy and a better camera in some ways.
Guys + Gals. Remember, this is Nikon’s 100th birthday year …. AND, let us not forget. Nikon has already stated that it will be streamlining it’s DSLR range and concentrating more on the ‘high end’. Everyone is ‘assuming’ that this is the D7200 replacement. ( This is the D5600 replacement ) When it ‘hits the shelves’ in June/July, Nikon will then officially DITCH the D3xxx and D5xxx lines. Has the penny ‘dropped’ yet ? The D7500 is now Nikon’s … ENTRY LEVEL DSLR … hence NO ADDITIONAL GRIP … and the single card slot, smaller battery, etc, etc …Later in the year, the price of the D7500 will have dropped to around the $1000 mark. We now have a $900 to $1000 price gap between the D7500 and the D500 … Nikon will then ‘unleash’ the D350 on the world. ( The ACTUAL D7200 replacement ) A slightly ‘detuned’ D500, priced at about $1500 – £1600. As for Full Frame ? A ‘detuned’ D5, the D10 … an updated D810, the D900 … and an ENTRY LEVEL D750 update. So, there you have it … Nikon’s new ‘HIGH END’ DSLR range. As the ENTRY LEVEL DSLR in Nikon’s “NEW” range, I don’t think the specs and ( $1000 ) price are actually … that bad ! ?
lol — POS hyperbole review. Glad I’ve bought and use two d7100(s) for my photojournalism work
