Why do people say this takes good video…the auto-focus seems useless and who would use manual mode? I have phones much older and much cheaper that focus much better, what is wrong with Nikon?
better buying a D7200, or a D7100
Thanks so much
Can u please suggest which one to buy
cannon 80d or d7500?
Great review 👏
Not a question just a commend: By chance I stumbled across this rather old video in my search for even more information about the D7500 which im planning to buy hopefully soon, and I most say it was a nice and informative video. But im very impressed to look though the commend section and seeing that you take the time to answer every body! That is a very rare thing on YT. That right there got you another subscriber 🙂
I think the focus works pretty good, I did some photos in a water park and took pictures of people coming down slides using burst, and the focus is pretty good in all pictures. I can’t see that it lost focus in any of them, and the object is coming at me so the camera has to refocus every shot. But the lighting was rely good and I could use a very fast shutter speed.
And yes, it was the D7500 that I used. 🙂
But I need to try the filming with this camera, I have only filmed objects at a stationary length and then I used manual focus. I will try and film objects that are moving and see how it does.
I didn’t really understand your comment on the value picture. Someone that knows what they are doing can take a good picture. It sounds like you like the features of the camera and in the next breath. You say confusing. Another blogger says this is the camera that the internet likes to hate the 7500. I got a 7200 on ebay. You can watch the how to on setup of the camera. I don’t have your expertise but I have learned my camera from the net.
Someone has made a copy of your review on there channel and not giving any credit. You should report that video….”winning product – review”
Great user’s guide, thank you. My D7500 does not work on Manual while I am using video, the display screen turns black, but when I change the mode to A , P or Auto works good. I am using a 50mm 1.8G lens. Do you know why this happen? Thank you!
I currently have a Nikon D5000 and have been trying to choose between the 7200 and 7500 over the Xmas holidays. So I’ve watched quite a few videos and read quite a few reviews – your videos are incredibly informative, thank you. I think you’ve also made up my mind for me, too. 3 years ago you seemed more enthused about the 7200 than you were on this one for the 7500. While some of the newer features of the 7500 were attractive, I think I’ll do better with the 7200 and maybe what I save I can spend on a new lens.
Thank you again – lots of information imparted but you clearly know your subject.
God you’re good ! (subscribed)
Thanks ever so much – I’ve got a D7000 but I’ll order one for the 4k video quality.
hey maarten I have a question for u…I want to buy a dslr under 1200$….which one would be great….
Nikon d7500 vs Nikon d7200 vs Nikon Coolpix p1000 vs canon 80d vs canon 77d
plzz answer the question asap! thank u!
You reviews are outstanding! Great job!
Thank you so much Maarten… nice accent and this has saved me hours reading that dull little manual.
Your review was incredibly informative. I haven’t seen better reviews anywhere. I hope you can help me. I have a D5200 and have been investing in my photography skills by taking classes. I use my camera mostly for travel and for taking pictures of my grandchildren. As I’m learning more, I’m beginning to see the limitations of the D5200 – it doesn’t focus very fast and the images are not as crisp and sharp as I’d like. I can’t say that I’ve outgrown the D5200- there are still plenty of features I haven’t yet mastered. I’ve been looking at the D7500 and Sony mirrorless cameras. I like being able to use the lens collection I already have, but I don’t want that to limit me to Nikon crop sensor cameras. Is the D7500 going to feel like a big step up in image quality and camera performance? Or should I make the jump to a different camera family? Size and weight are important to me. Price is always a consideration, but I’d rather make a good long term decision than an inexpensive short term one. Thank you so much.
Hey Maarten, I don’t know if you still read these but im stuck between the 7200 and the 7500. I’m planning on doing mostly landscape and wildlife shots. Eventually I’d like to print my pictures and stretch them out a decent amount (40″ tv size max) . I like the new features (mostly tilted screen and expeed5, i’m not worried about video) but I don’t know if they’re worth it at the cost of sacrificing 3mp. Would you say the D7200 takes higher quality photos but the 7500 has better color and low-light? Is the color and low-light that noticeable? I can get a new d7200 for $700 on amazon or a refurbished 7500 for $844. What are your thoughts?
hey Maarten again sorry to disturb you! but again got a question between which one is better to buy…Nikon d7500 or sony a6500….plzz help me get out of these two cameras and select the best one….and if u suggest any of two den can u just take few of your minutes to tell me why d7500 is better dan a6500 or why a6500 is better dan d7500….waiting for ur positive and helpful reply…thnk u!
Thank you sir, video was really helpful… You’ve explained every bit of d7500 … Thanks again
