D7500 is a downgrade and not an upgrade, all hands down.
Build quality is much better in d7200, which is made of magnesium alloy. Compare it d7500, which is built using cheap plastic.
Resolution is higher -> 24mp vs 21mp.
In general, the sensor quality is better in d7200 (color depth and dynamic range are both higher in d7200).
LCD Screen resolution is significantly better. D7200 can also take more shots per full charge. It has 2 card slots, versus one in d7500.
Why would a camera company downgrade the sensor quality of a supposedly upgraded camera? Maybe they can somehow defend why they removed 2 card slots, but when it comes to the sensor quality, it is just ridiculous to downgrade. Doesn’t make any sense at all.

Can the 7200 use the nikon D lens. It is older but does not have a motor.

I am very interested in your video great video how does the 7500 record outside of the camera that to an external source and also recording inside the camera is it possible for you to do a demo or not or you can tell me what is the device that you can record to outside of the camera because I do time-lapse videos many thanks Troy

At the end of the day this camera will take pictures exactly the same as the D 500 which everyone is raving about it let’s cut all the crap. What is the photography really about…It’s about taking pictures or doing video. Kudos to video may not be ideal on this camera but for most to just shoot still picks this is a brilliant mini D 500. Honestly if you’re worried about the memory card slot really just get another card and keep it in your bag. I’ve been doing photography on four different cameras over the journey …go pro included and allsorts of other cameras and I’ve never had an SD card fail yet. Not one.

D7500 is more like a D90 upgrade. It’s plastic, one card slot. Nothing special. Improved sensor and faster. Too expensive. D7000/7100/7200 was a totally different class, two slots, magnesiumalloy body. 7500 does not even take a battery grip. Consumercamera.

Thinking going from 2 memory card slots to 1. Possibly there thinking was the photos taken have the ability to be sent to an external/phone/computer etc simultaneously. BTW, a camera taking a corrupt photo can be sent to both cards. If your shooting weddings, each segment of the wedding should be saved on different cards anyway . Problem solved!

good video, I never had a error or backup problem only have 1 Sd card – people too crazy focus about 2 card slot – I always have 2 cameras with me – and backup via 4g wifi my data ,if do important jobs – d7500 sound to be great – thanks for video .

Nice review , I just ordered a D 7500 , Excited 👍🏻, Btw , Nikkor 70/200 f 2.8 , Greatest lens ever made , had one and had to sell it unfortunately

I have run my D7500 out to 205,000 shutter activations without a single hic-cup. I’m still using it for local sports, The single card slot has never been an issue.
