I have the same setup and love it
Good review Charles, you presented nicely too. I love the Torresian Crow gargling in the background form a bout 2/3 way through. I totall agree with the 200-500/5.6, awesome lens. I had the Tamron 150-600 G1 prior to the Nikon, it was well known for becoming soft after 500mm so no real loss with the Nikon being limited to 500mm.
It’s a great camera, I am considering to get one used only for wildlife to get more reach. Currently shooting with the D810.
Btw, your video cuts are a bit distracting.
Hi Charles, awesome video just what I needed to make my mind up about the 200-500mm lens! Just one question, what lens cover is that? i’ll need one when I buy the lens!
I have the D7200 and love it but am maxed with my old 80-200 push/pull which is great – but not quite good enough for wildlife. I’m now saving my pennies for the 200-500 and your review helps. Your metering points are helpful as well.
Nice revue Charles. Most of the bloggers hate the D 7500. I have the 7500 and the Nikon 80-400 lens. I am leaning towards the nikon 200-500. I look forward to more from you.
Hey mate great video, would you recommend this camera for a beginner who likes to shoot wildlife and car 4×4 action shots ?
Thanks mate
This is an amazing video. I already own this Nikon 200 500mm from 1 year paired with D5300 but I have also ordered D7500. Images from this lens are super sharp. It’s just amazing.
sir is this best for my d5600 … i like bird photography
I bought the D7500 just now. Very excited to get started taking pictures of wildlife and airports. I have a Nikon 70-300 but eventually I’d like a 400 or 500mm lens. I actually had a D3300 but sold it. That was years ago. Now, phones take excellent pictures but don’t compare to a DSLR with a nice tele lens.
Hi Sir ,
Which monopod you are using ??
Nice review thanks. Could you explain the difference between continueous focus and 3d tracking?
I got the D7500 a few months back, I’m a novice so it’s a great entry level camera for me and my budget. A lot of people knock it for only having one card slot but that’s a non issue for me with cards being so reliable these days, as you also say.
Also, it may only be 21 MP but it’s the same sensor as it’s bigger brother the D500 which is superb, and produces great results.
Well Described..
I have a d7200 body and I am planning to buy an Nikkor f5.6 200-500mm..ur review is wonderful
Great video!
How well it could be the focus speed with a sigma lens?, maybe sigma 150-600mm
Great video. Thanks.
How does it hold up with the af-s 80-400 f4.5-5.6?
I must agree that Nikon D7500 is very good. I just bought SIgma 100-400 f/5-6.3. Nikon was too expensive for me. The DOF preview can be realized by camera software, so I do not know why Nikon decided to remove this option.
thank you very much. I still bought these “perfect mach” last week. It’s perfect.
Great video! I have the Nikon D7500 body and I am looking into getting this lens. I am more of a “picture taker” not really a professional photographer. I love going out on wildlife walks and taking photos but I cannot get close enough to the wildlife without disturbing them. I have a lens that the camera body came with. The range on that one is only up to 140 mm. I am so torn between getting this or not not because of the price and because I am not a professional. Any advice? Thank you!!!
