I have both the D500 and the D610 (same sensor and performance of the D750, pretty much, with an older AF system). There’s no comparison. The D610 produces better quality images in low light situations but the D500 can shoot even with the room lights turned off. The images, however, at such high ISOs, just aren’t usable. The D610 images at ISO1600 are comparable to the D500 at ISO 100 in terms of noise so it’s not as clean of an image even at ISO100. It only gets worse from there as you increase the ISO.
The AF performance of the D500 is simply incredible. I once took a photo of an unused room in a restaurant at an event where the only light came through the door I was shooting from. You couldn’t make out anything in the room with your eyes without turning on the light or using a flashlight. The camera was set to AutoISO and maxed out at ISO 100,000. The camera focused and took the shot without hesitation and the image was full of noisy detail. My D610 would not have taken the shot as the AF would have hunted and none of the other cameras that we brought, a mix of Panasonic Lumix G85, and Canon 5D series cameras, would have taken that shot. Simply incredible performance from that camera.
La-La-La…..
go for the d750
Thank you so much ! I as well am looking at these 2 cameras.
Do you know would the video be as good on the 750 vs the 7500 that boasts 4K ? Thanks
It’s really very very hard to choose between d750, d7200 and d7500 if you are in Pakistan..
Each one is unique in its own rite.. And each one lacks the qualities of the other..
d7200 with 18-140 @ price of Rs.125000, no tilt screen, no 4k, slower buffer, slightly lower low light performance compared to d7500
While
d7500 with 18-140 @ price of Rs.145000, has less MP’s (big deal for Pakistani people), no grip option, poor support for nikon vintage lenses, and worst of the worst SINGLE CARD slot..
On the other hand
d750 with 24-120 f4 @ price Rs.240000 is equal to d7500 in all aspects except full frame and has no 4k.. So it is a waste of money to prefer d750 over d7500..
The only camera suited over d7500 is perhaps the Giant d850..
Let alone these, most of the wedding Photographers in Pakistan still prefer d7100 as they call it “cheapest and balanced professional camera”
I have a Canon T6s and I’m wanting to go full frame and I’m switching to Nikon. I’ve been looking at the d750 and d850. Right now it’s just a hobby but I plan to start doing work for the public soon. My main interests are landscape and astrophotography with a little bit of portrait work. I want the d850 but you have added costs with it. The files are huge so I’ll have to buy more and larger hard drives, the memory cards cost more and you have to use high end glass. Not to mention the cost of the camera. I can get a new d750 for $1300 that performs great in low light. The d760 is supposed to come out possibly this year. If the rumors are true it’s supposed to have a 36 MP BSI sensor and a fully articulating screen. I love a fully articulating screen. People think it’s only vloggers that want that in a camera but it’s great for landscape. I’m torn. I can get a d750 right now or I can wait on the d760 that’s a compromise between the d750 and d850. Ugh.
You are really a freaking guy!!😂
I have both the D750 and D7500 and the low light performance of the D750 is better IMO. The D750 is amazing in low light even at high ISO (12,800) looks great, it can see in the dark.
I have both, and the D750 blows away the D7500 in the noise department. Shooting both with the same lens, lighting, etc., there is no comparison. Quite disappointed with the D7500 with that. Otherwise, it’s a great camera.
Why people still talking about full frame lenses ?? , Even it is not cheap
I just bought a D7500 as an upgrade to my D7100 and I can definitely say it’s great! My dad just bought a D750 and he loves it. Both camera’s have their place depending on what you want to use them for and the price. I found that killer $600 refurbished deal at B&H and I couldn’t pass it up…I was not planning on buying a new body for a while, but at that price for that low light and focus performance I gave it a shot. I don’t regret it at all.
I’l have a lot of investment in Canon gear since 2006. But always wanted to feel a good Nikon in my hands. Last year I decided to get a Nikon D750 w/ 24-120mm, f/4 lens and I don’t regret it. Results are fantastic
Thanks for this
