D500
how come d7500 or d500 a crop sensor better than full frame in low light coz of iso nd specs…. no.. full frame always wins in low light… but if action sports nd wildlife is the concern.. then the crop sensor reach nd buffer rate of d500 is the best with 153 afp… but for portraiture nd landscape always a full frame…
hello Matt. whats your expected release for a D750 successor? should i just buy a 750 now?
D750
750 all day, every day
Remember Film SLRs? Even the most advanced only had manual and aperture priority exposure control. Focusing was manual and yet, pro photographers managed to shoot awesome images! So, the D750, even though older and less advanced than the D7500, is still a technological marvel. It then boils down to the image sensor and pixel count. A 24mp full-frame sensor will serve better than a 21mp DX sensor for professional applications such as landscapes and weddings. On the other hand, the autofocus system, frame rate and extra reach of the DX D7500 will be better for action and wildlife photography.
I am a pro photographer who leans more towards fast action and wildlife and my budget allowed for the D500. The D7500 would be a very good alternative, having the same sensor and very capable AF system, although not as advanced as that found on the D5, D500 and D850.
Currently, I use the 18-mm f1.8 Sigma Art lens, the Sigma 24-105mm f4 Art lens, Sigma 50mm f1.8 Art lens, the Sigma150-mm f5.6-f6.3 Sport lens and the Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens and the Nikkor 70-300mm f4.5-f5.6 VRii lens.. All FX lenses. I have just one DX lens. The very capable Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 lens.
I said I leaned towards fast action and wildlife, but I do take landscapes as well and have enlarged images from my D500 to 26″x20″ and feel sure I could easily go beyond that.
At the end of the day, it is about functionality and trade-offs. Do you want a camera to do ‘this’ and trade-off ‘that’ or do ‘that’ and trade-off ‘this’?
Personally, the range and quality of the lenses should be a first consideration. With good glass and skill-set, even a D5300 would provide pro-level results and would serve until you could afford the camera you really needed..
Just my honest opinion for what it’s worth. I hope it helps.
For “pro”? 750. 7500 in my view, is for advanced enthusiasts. Too risky for professional use, especially weddings, in my opinion.
D750: fits better with Nikon’s lens lineup, better low light performance, shallower DOF. D7500: autofocus points more spread out across the frame, higher FPS, deeper buffer. Pick your poison and make the best out of it.
Sir, can I’m looking for a camera for photography and for shooting video too and I’m stuck between 3 cameras nikon 750D, 7500D and canon 80D can you please suggest me which one should I buy??? Please reply me fast
The camera does not make the pro nor the picture. It is just a tool. The first thing you have to consider is your budget. What is your bottom line. Can you afford it. If your starting out and you have money to burn. That’s a different story. But someone who has a few pennies should not spend it. You will find getting jobs hard work. You can’t sit at home looking at this new camera and mumbling. Hey, I am a photographer. Good luck.
D750 vs d7500 which is better for pro work. sir
I’m really struggling with this decision because they are so close in price. I have D3300 and really want to upgrade. Having both would be great. I’m so torn.
It was my question answer thanks for asking

Im not into video. This review is not for photographers
Hi there, I really need some help here:
So, I´m new in dslr world, I never used a dslr camera before
I have a 2000 euro budget
I have 2 choise:
-1. Buy D7500, now discount to 1250 euro with 18-140mm f3.5-5.6G kit. If I buy this, I have money to spend on 50mm f1.8g and buy a tripod, bag, memory, and some other stufs.
-2. Buy the Nikon D750 Kit + AF-S 24-120 VR for 1899 euro. That means I dont have money for other stufs, just for memory, but no bag, no nothing.
So, the 2000 euro question it´s, as a novice beginner, buy the d7500, or the d750?
I want to use it:
1. To learn
2. Then make food photos for web and for restaurant photos.
3. Later for wedding and portraits. Wanna make some money.
And here its my theory:
If I buy D7500 I will have a lot of accessories with I can easely learn and work. Then If I like it and I´m getting pro and need a fullfram, I still can buy a used d750 and use the optics from d7500 (please correct me if I´m wrong)
Whats yore opinion?
Please comment the answer
With the recent release of the Z50, does that change any opinions?
If the kid has to ask what the difference is between a DX camera and a full-frame 35mm camera he ain’t ready to be a professional
If im shooting astrophotography and predominantly wildlife should i get a d750 or d7500. I havea. D3500 now with some good glass (18-55 afp which may get replaced with a 16-80 ed nikkor, a 50 1.8d and a sigma 70-300 apo dg hsm macro). I should also say I’m 15 but im very good for my age and will hopefully become the apprentice for a nat geo wildlife photographer
I think 4k of the D7500 is nice, but really the sharpness of the D750 full-frame on HD is even better. I know more professional photographers and videographers that use the D750. D7500 is more a semi-beginners camera. Also take into consideration that not everyone has a 4k TV, so for now you won’t always see the difference. Full frame is so much sharper. Especially if you want to print your pictures you should buy the D750.
To talk from my own experience, I’ve had a starter kit Nikon D3100 + 15-55 VR lens and it was fine to learn the basics. From there I bought a secondhand D300s which was such a great jump that it was hard to understand at first. I had this lens, the NIKON AF-D 24-85MM F/2.8-4.0 IF + HB-25 which is perfect. Later I bought this one; NIKON AF-S 35MM F/1.8G DX because I want bokeh and depth of field. Also it’s good for street photography and portraits (also the 24-85 is awesome, but not with low light), as long as you can be close with your models. It’s also good for filming.
But from these experiences I would say a D7500 is more forgiving and makes it easier to have good video, while a D750 need you to do more editing but can give you better results because it capture more while it has a full-frame sensor.
I would also say, the ISO range is very important, so if you want to shoot at night or sunsets you’d better buy the D7500. If you have the D750 you need additional lighting. That was a mistake I once made on a wedding that I really regret… A friend of mine had a more basic model (compared to the D300s) which shoots so much better at weddings and evenings, so if that’s the case buy the D7500.
Finally, it’s like buying a high-end oldtimer Mercedes vs a new modern VW Polo, you have them for around the same price, but in the latest you’ve bluetooth and a good radio and navigation while the first has leather seats, a more comfortable driving while lacking the former.
