I’ve been shooting for decades and just got 2 D7100’s (at a bargain price).

Michael, thank you so much for explaining the Nikon D7200 focusing system. My Nikon D7200 Manual had been used to prop up the leg of a wobbly desk. I will go to your Web- site to find out more about “Back Button Focusing”. I have had my D7200 since 2015 and photographed the “Sydney Hobart Yacht Race- Golf and Rugby. In all those years I never fully understood how the focusing worked, until now. Well done, thank you for a great video

Hi, I have a nikon d7200 with Tamron 24-70 and when I go to select the auto focus, the values change me only from auto to S. HOW NEVER?

Excellent tutorial. Newbie tip: On the back of your D7200 (which is what I use) make sure the Focus Selector Lock lever is set to the ‘dot’ position and not ‘L’ (lock). If the lever is set to ‘L’ manual focus point selection is disabled.

Just bought my first DSLR (D7100) and have no idea what I’m doing. Thanks for this. However, I’m at a loss almost immediately because I don’t have any letters (i.e. AFS, AFA, AFC) at the bottom of my screen when using AF mode.

Whoa, this was mindblowing! I know that seems like an inflated compliment, but no. For someone in my position … well, none of this stuff has ever been explained to me, and I wouldn’t have understood it in the manual for my camera (d7200).
