Awesome 😎
Still using a pair of D7200s and this helped clarify a lot of stuff for me. Thanks!
Wonderful explanation, thanks!
thanks,a good teacher
Many thanks for this tutorial. Could you please oblige with the AFC, auto focus continues settling for my Nikon D810,
AFC, does not come up on this camera. Thank you.
I love u dude
Why do I have to move the little, single square around with the arrow keys? Can’t I just leave the square in the center, press the button halfway for it to focus, and then recompose my shot in whatever manner?
How do you move the focus squares when you’re using back focusing? Thank you!
Very well explained. I was having an issue with my new D7100 not auto focusing…you made great time of each one of your explanations getting down to the core basics of what was needed to understand the auto focus on this particular model. This model is much different than my previous D5300, so I greatly appreciate your video! I cannot subscribe because I will see a lot of stuff on photography, but I gave you a big thumbs up! Thanks again!!!
Good video. I’m on the D7500. Cannot get all people in a group shot standing still in focus. What am I getting wrong. It’s maddening, lol.
This was the best tutorial i have seen on this subject – you cleared up a lot for me! Thank you!
Hi Michael, Excellent explanation, quick question/feedback, at the end of the video, you advice to use AF-S (Auto Focus -Single – with single focus point) for beginners and practice moving focus point. Next to it, you mention for sport photography to use AF-S (Auto focus Single) with 9 focus points. I guess here you want to advice AF-C (continuous) with 9 focus points. Because there is no Auto Focus Single AF-S with 9 focus points on D7100 which I use, in AF-S either you have single focus point or AF-S Auto (which you do not recommend to use, and I do agree).
Many thanks for excellent video. Just thought of correcting but if I am wrong, sorry about it. In this case, I see to see again and understand better.
I’ve learned so much from this video in such a short time, it’s amazing ! Fantastic work, Michael !
Thanks again Mike! After many years of using my Nikon Point & Shoot, I decided to upgrade to the Nikon D7500. I, like most oldies but goodies, started out with the 35mm!!! Some of my best shots were with my 35 mm but it was time to move on. Your tutorials are the best! We appreciate you for taking your time to help us. You’re a blessing!
Why I can’t move the single focusing square?
Best tutorial. Thanks a lot
Great tutorial. My question is while in AFS focusing mode (D7200), using the single focusing square I cannot seem to get the square to move when I press the directional pad.
I know I’ve changed a menu setting in the past to get this to work; just don’t remember what menu setting that was.
Thank you so much very helpful tutorial. 🙂
Thanks.that help me a loooooooooot.
Ur video very helpfull. Thanks from Indonesian
