At 6:38 you say that recomposing “doesn’t work on AF Servo” but the screen, in red, says “recomposing won’t work in continuous servo (AFC).” It seems like you’re saying two different things here. One thing from your voice and one thing that appears on the screen. Does it not work to recompose with the single square in AFC or AFS? Can you please clarify? Thank you.

In AFS do you “recompose” using the single square by moving the square with the directional pad on the camera? As opposed to focus locking it and physically moving the camera? I’m asking because i shoot macro and I’d like to shift from putting my subject right in the middle of the screen.

Im unable to focus with anything but only the central focusing point ( using AFC). Can someone help please ??

Why would you recommend someone shoot sports with AFS anything? It’s almost always better in AFC!

I was recently stolen, all my canon equipments were gone. So I decided to switch to Nikon… up until now, I was having some issues regarding the focus and with this tutorial, it completely helped me solving my doubts and daily difficulties. Thanks a lot!

thank you!…I only like one center square focusing. I overlooked the instructions in the manual, so thank you so much; I was ready to return the camera.
If you have time to answer a question: I was using the D300 with sb910 flash.Always perfect fill flash,; never had to adjust the output. I recently bought the D7200, and the fill is terrible; I am constantly having to adjust the output, and it’s not consistant.
Is the matrix metering different in the D7200? I use fill 90% of the time, but it’s pretty frustrating…thanks!
