Thank you so much for your video. Thought my camera AF was not working. This video solved it all. I had the focus point to the far right and was able to move it to the middle. Thought “Reset” would fix it but it didn’t. All is GREAT now.

You can use the rear focus button option in single focus also I think, also, question – for wide angle landscape photography, why would you not use all 51 focus points. as a landscape photographer myself, I have never used spot focusing, unless I am doing studio or portrait work. for landscape, you want everything in focus, most of the time, unless the effect you are after requires otherwise.

Thank you for this great video and it’s very comprehensive and informative. One question: I have using D7100 and has assigned AEL/AFL button as AF ON. Do I just press the AEL/AFL button once and start taking photos OR have to press and hold the AEL/AFL button all the time….What’s the difference between pressing AEL/AFL button once and holding it down all the time…..Thank you.

Thanks a lot for this video which really helped me. I was wondering what happened why my D7000 was having focus problem all of a sudden but after watching your video I found out I was in AFC mode. Quick question also if you can help. Do you know why the D7000 has a lot of purple fringing and, is that a problem with the D7100 as well? I would like to know because I am considering purchasing it soon. Thanks in advance for your reply.
