Coming from Canon to Nikon so it’s a steep learning curve. Good video, thanks. I couldn’t help but notice you were wearing ‘glasses’ for most of the video lol (focusing points).

That was totally what I wanted to find out, 1 month works this really good, but now when I press to focus mode select button there is nothig happening, there is no more 51 ares on my screen, and now I really don’t know if there is trouble with button or is something wrong with my settings. Can`t change focusing modes anymore, PLEASE HELP.

Should I go to costumer service first?

sony’s eye focus, face focus and face registered are waaay more better solution for this focus problem, evf are the future

I’ve been a passionated photographer for almost a year now and I own the D5300 and the D7100. Yet, I still haven’t taken all the time I’d like to learn fundamentals. For instance, I wonder… I know theorically the difference between AF-S and and AF-C and use 90% of the time AF-S but what about portraits for almost non moving persons ? I mean, in most of the time, the subjects do move, even a bit. Would not been smarter to use AF-C most of the time then ? And what is actually the downsize of both modes ? Why wouldn’t we use the 51 points coverage on AF-C all the time actually, for every situation ? I don’t know the differences between focus modes deeply enough as you may notice.
I also never used neither AEL/AFL nor bracketings functions. I do shoot in raw and may control so much from lightroom that I’m not sure of why I would bother with these.
