Has similar modes, Called “one shot”, “Ai servo” and “Ai Focus” Focus square layout is different.

I am a nikon user, in my country Indonesia nikon D7100 no one has been authorized to sell it with a warranty that is distrbutor Indonesia Pt. ALTA Nikindo
a few days ago I asked Nikon authorized dealers they only answer possible new July or August will arrive in Indonesia. this ugliness nikon distributor in Indonesia
there are rumors circulating in Indonesia if the stock nikon D7000 has the new thinning will be sold D7100

FYI here Indonesia D7100 BO $ 1300

Depends on what you are using it for, they are 2 different animals. T4i has some nice features like the touch screen and articulating monitor. D7100 has better focusing systems (wow!), I like the build more as well. You will be happy with the D7100.

Im guessing you have your “L” or Lock switch on.

So holding the AF lock button in AFC mode would allow you to recompose the shot like being in AFS mode? Also when would you want to use single point focus vs multiple in AFC to track a moving subject. Isn’t it always easier to keep say a running baby under a grid of 9 spots rather than a single spot? Thanks!

Depends on the subject matter, how far away they are and how fast they are moving. As personal preference, I almost shoot exclusively with the single square.
