6k vs 3k….hmmmm
According to dxomark D850 has better ISO results.
Why us ykur view so little
I was on the wait list for 3 months waiting for the D850 to magically materialize, I instead chose to buy a D4 that was recently refurbished by Nikon with a new shutter for the same price. Going forward I will do the same for the D5 when the right situation is presented and stick with the pro bodies.
I️ have a D5 for HS soccer games which are played at night under jenkey HS stadium lights. High ISO and shutter speed (1250) are both a necessity to capture the action. I️ use a 200-400 f4, this rig yields nice shots.
I️ have a D850 on order for pretty much all other shooting opportunities, mostly travel. Grip is a cheaper upgrade if you have the D5 as you already have the battery and charger.
Spend $10k and buy both. Then use them to shoot JPEG
Great comparison!
Great
850 still the best one
D5 better in sporty photos
many thanks for illustration
just reading this title is stupid enough…. if you don’t know why you’re buying D5 or D850 then just don’t buy any of them
Im not licking Tony’s… just saying he tested it and his method was good and no one has been able to prove him wrong so far. The megapixel size does NOT affect the low light performance! Why does EVERY youtube photographer keep saying this??? Everyone has bought into this notion without a proper test.
….except that you can NOT do it just like that with the notsoSnapbridge…
Able to get Nikon D5309 with 18-140 or AF-P 18-55VR & AF- P 70-300VR at a small price difference.. So please advise me on this….should I buy 18-140VR only or AF-P 18-55VR & AF- P 70-300VR with D5300 ? D5300 + 18-140 / 700 DOLLARS or D5300 + AF-P 18-55 VR & AF -P 70-300 VR / 750 DOLLARS
With the low rates that news organizations are paying for freelance I have to save the money and go with the D850. Blow the rest on glass!
I’m disappointed in Nikon’s production over the past few cameras that sit below the flagship in that they have moved their production from Japan to Malaysia, Thailand, etc. The point is, there is a definitive difference in the feel of the quality since the 810, and even the 800. I have both the 700 and the 800 and the 700 just feels more solid. so, in short (hehe) I would go with the D5 because I prefer a camera that feels more solid. I have yet to test the 850 on a job, but I can say that the difference in quality and feel from the 5 is immediately apparent. I don’t shoot video, so the advantages that the 850 present over the 5 for that is not a factor
The Nikon D850 for its versatility of both great video and as a fantastic full frame camera. However, Sony has got my eye.
I would actually buy the D850 first then work up to the D5, so I can use my D850 during the day and great light and then move to the D5 at very low light. If that makes sense.
For my line of work D850 is the better option. However, the D5 makes my customers respects me for the full body and willing to pay more.
I would go for the d850 with grip and glass. You’re looking at 10k plus with glass and the d5
In my country Taiwan, a new D5 can be bought with NT$156,500=US$5209 and the price of the D850 w/ grip costs NT$156640=US$5213. And even with negligible price differences, people rushed out to get the D850 and no one is really interested in the D5….
I have the olympus pen e-pl2
And it work very great only at the lowest iso and the superior slow autofocus
But I do not have any problem about any kind of photography landscape, sport and etc.
So I do not understand why people keep buying new camera while I am using 7-6 years camera
