I’m going with the D850. This pandemic has made weddings and other large events impossible. I’ll be pursuing more nature, architecture and cityscapes.

Well I went with a used D5 from Japan that’s cheaper than a D850. I have no use for 40MP and I think that goes for most people. A lot of people who buy the D850 justify it because apparently it allows them to crop when they don’t get close enough to their subject. Seems like they’re doing it wrong to me, but to each their own.

I own the D4 and D800 and love them. For nature (flying birds, etc) the D4 is fast and great. I use the D800 for portraits, street photography and yes, also some action.

If you are not making money from taking pictures, don’t buy either. Get a D800 or a D4s for 1/2 the price of both of these overpriced cameras and enjoy shooting pictures and having loads of money left in the bank or in your pocket.

Love your videos as always. With the 100mb raws from the D850. What hardware would you recommend? I’ve a 27” iMac i7 3.5gb. 16gb ram. 3tb fusion. 4gb graphics. Will I struggle with that? Thank you in advance!
