Eric, I agree with you 100%. Big disappointment from Nikon. I would get a used or refurbished D500 before I would even consider a D7500.
“Todayyy… unfortunately…”…LoL. The best business move from Nikon would be to dump the production of D7200 and do a press conference saying…”You people shouldn’t believe every rumour”.
If this is the entry level it’s ok but still overpriced epic fail
To HIGH
D7500 = Junk
I just looked on Nikon’s website and the D500 is showing it is backordered
D7500 = D5700
More than likely, Nikon’s mainstream advertising efforts on this camera will likely make it a success for Nikon. Hopefully the 810 successor is something truly special.
Thanks Eric.
At the best, it is similar to Fuji xt20, but $300 more.
Ironic, isn’t it?!!? Released on Passover and it will be passed over…
D7500 – Huge Failureagree with you 100%Tom G Scotland
its an update to the D5600 or a castrated D500 whatever it is its crapTom G
Think of it as the NEW D5600, The D5700, Nikon said in restructure that products would go Up market & models at lower end would be dropped Change the series Double the price – a smart marketing move if you’re restructuring !!!
I agree with you completely! I am keeping my D500 and my D7200. If Nikon screws up the D850 and the D760 I may just use Fuji exclusively.
im gonna buy 5 of em’
not
All of this news on the D7500 makes me SUPER glad I picked up a D7200 last year. I absolutely love the D7200!
Not even going to watch the video and just answer the title. Yes. Huge failure. It’s a toy that claims to be the D500’s little brother. They killed the 7000 line with an inadequately spec’d camera and removed features we loved like being able to record to two cards instead of just one. If right now I had a choice between getting this camera for FREE or keeping my D7100 – it would be an easy choice. I’d stay with my D7100.
Love the breakfast reference……
Fujifilm!!
I also heard and seen pictures that support that Nikon is not adding a MB Battery Grip for this D7500?? I saw pictures of the bottom the the D7500 that show no inputs for a battery Grip.. Can anyone else tell me if I am right or wrong? I am sticking with my D7200 thank you very much.. I get 2 card slots, and a battery grip. I also have 24MP resolution.. Who cares about the flippy touch screen.. My next SLR will be the Nikon D500. Not sure what Nikon was thinking..
