I am going to take a wild guess and say that the Eremites may have Greek influences, after reading Candace’s biography.
First off, the name Candace itself is based off the Bible, derived from “kandake”, which roughly translates to “queen mother”, and the term came from the Kingdom of Kush, in modern day Sudan. In the Hellenistic period, Koine Greek was the lingua franca of that time, so it can be implied the Kushites spoke the language due to its spread from Ptolemaic Egypt (contrary to popular belief, Ptolemy I Soter and his descendants were Greek, including Cleopatra VII).
This is still a wild guess as of now, but eh, take it as you will.
