What if you put it in the freezer
No like the computer is in the fridge and your playing Minecraft or some shit
Or replace the fan with a AC
Use clay
You put so much😵
What happens if you use human hair as thermal paste?
No shit it wouldnt work – metalic and conductive doesnt “mix” with non metalic and non conductive… even if the paste is conductive it isnt a metal base
Next try seeing how an ice cube and thermal paste work
mix all of the thermal pastes you have at once and try it
Did you…did you use an Aluminum heatsink with liquid metal?
Day 3 asking to use cum instead of thermal paste
Hahahahahaha
I’ve would of made a square on the edges of the IHS instead of a circle. Also would brush to spread the liquid metal across evenly. Can you try this next time @mryeester ?
Also worth noting that you should use liquid metal only if you have a copper based cooler or AIO because over time it will break down aluminum and ruin the performance and usefulness of a cooler
I did the same but im not an idiot to put the thermal paste at the center.
1st i put tape leaving the small spaces at the very CORNER of the IHS.
Then put paste and removing the painters tape now only the side have thermal paste that is evenly spread.
Then use 99% alcohol to clean the middle while avoiding touching the thermal paste.
After that I applied liquid metal and spread it but leave a lil bit space between liquid metal and thermal paste (traditional paste will spread while liquid metal will not as long as you dont put too much).
Then i also put a painters tape on the water block (nickle plated coper) to avoid drying of liquid metal.
But this time i only apply liquid metal in a square shape that will not touch the thermal paste(again just a thin layer).
The result is no matter how i tilt the case there’s no liquid metal leaking.
In your test you basically mix thermal paste and liquid metal btw you put f*ckin to much liquid metal you want a tiny rain droplet 💧 of liquid metal.
Is that the gravity falls theme I hear?
Day 12 of asking to use whipped cream as thermal paste
Dude didn’t even realize liquid metal chemically interacts with aluminum, ruining the heat spreader on most CPUs. Short term probably isn’t enough to mess it up bad but even a few hours would ruin it probably. It’s why it’s used directly on the CPU die and requires the heat spreader removed
TFW you ignore the big warning label saying “DO NOT USE ON ALUMINUM HEATSINKS”
HEY !! Gallium is not 🚫 usable with aluminium!!!!!!! Because it will make a fusion and destroy the cooler
NEVER apply gallium with metal!
