I would consider buying an iPhone but I hate the whole iPhone family thing. Where, you can’t just have an iPhone. You need the iPhone Apple headphones and various other peripherals to get the most out of the device. That’s the main thing that prevents me from getting into any Apple tech. I love my Galaxy because I can use whatever I want with it.

I wanna make the switch from Windows to Mac soon but I’m completely new when it comes to Apples ecosystem. Does it make any sense to go for the current M1 pro / M1 Max MacBook Pro or would it be better to wait until those models get upgraded to the M2 (pro/Max ?).

I’ve been a mac user since 2007 or 2008. But since they changed the mac os naming convention from cats to freaking sticks and stones I have no clue what OS I’m using.
The mac os naming convention is the worst part of Apples marketing since they almost went out of business in the 90s. It is so meaningless and not memorable as it can be.

I would pick always on display over widgets on lock screen… they should have also made widgets to be interactive instead of just tiles. Ipad os external monitor support has improved… but is it good enough? Well see. It looks like windows desktop view…. but did they say the doc and the side view is gonna stay on the screen to use this multi tasking feature? Hmmmm

I am very disappointed of the direction iOS is going. I think they will lose millions of users in the next 2-3 years because of that and they will wonder why that happen. Loosing users will lead to loosing developers too. People are so used to their phones and there are not really updates that these can not handle or are necessary. Apple will just lose these customers and they will go to Android and change their message app. I understand why they do it and this is the shark business move to force customers to buy new phones but it will have the opposite effect. On the other hand maybe Apple thinks that continuing the updates until there is a real hardware need to change the phone will make the iPhone seems like a cheap brand but no because people like their phones and they will like updates and why change them for not much difference or gain better to try the competitors.
