Tech aside, I really like the way MKBHD doesn’t care for looking fair and beautified unlike many other YouTubers and Chines mobile cameras that don’t show real picture. MKBHD IS GEM! HE IS IN SCREEN AS HE IS IN REAL!
When it comes to car infotainment, every car manufacturer seems to be in a position where they are clueless on how to make a responsive, utilitarian, well designed system. It’s actually a deal breaker. Check out latest VWs.
The video length, 1729 is Hardy Ramanujan number. Was this a coincidence or intentional? 😂
11:19 you should clean that sensor, Marques
As an iPad Pro 2020 owner, I am beyond salty that my device won’t get Stage Manager 😡
Amazing Apple!
Apple finally catching up after 10 years lol
No m2 mac mini?
Going from android over it ….
Congrats on the Master Class!
Lock screen? Big deal! Sorry to be underwhelmed. I wanted some Camera/photos upgrades, but not the ones they came up with! A spirit level in the camera viewfinder would correct millions of iPhone photos taken every day! Also, the ability to save a new photo to an album of your choice USING A SEARCH facility. A big disappointment.
Isn’t compete just group challenges
I literally just liked this video to see the animation 🤣.
This guy is good!
I had to smirk with the Apple CarPlay muttering in regards to the rest of the car around it: after all, consider that Apple released the iPhone before the iPad, though I believe the iPad was being developed first.
It was a brilliant strategy for the iPad, because it’d not have enough viable applications available at the start to even begin to make it a compelling product to buy, or to develop software for: it was the classic chicken/egg conundrum, one Microsoft has repeatedly failed with in the past. The iPad, had it been released first, had no reason to justify buying it for most users: it had no killer applications to start with that were compelling in that form factor, compared to just getting a laptop. Combine that with the hardware costs to make them, it would have been ugly: no economies of scale were viable in a reasonable timeframe for either/both hardware and software (as a developer, I’m perfectly aware if one suffers, the other does as well) so it would have been an expensive project, and likely a flop.
But, the iPhone: it had 2 compelling experiences for the common users, minimum, take your pick:
1. User-friendly smartphone: who doesn’t need a phone?
2. Music player
3. Mobile web browser with great features and usability
4. Google Maps/GPS navigation
It took way too long to get copy/paste functionality, I don’t understand why that took so long, frankly. Despite that, even before the iOS SDK became available for third-parties, it was a compelling use-case scenario, even with only the limited software it came with.
Then the App Store boomed: millions of apps of myriad capacity/natures, for 2 years. For a platform that already had a viable reason to exist regardless of installing additional apps. The iPhone was the camel’s nose under the tent. Apple trained developers they could make money there, and had numbers to make it viable for them. Then Apple released the iPad, and while many applications ran only in the tiny iPhone size or scaled up, and some frankly weren’t written correctly to work on a different-sized screen to start with and would fail in weird ways, hey, it wasn’t overly difficult with all the pre-existing developers trained developing iPhone software to make an optimized iPad application with a bit of extra work, that shouldn’t need a huge rewrite, to have a bigger market. And by that time, Apple had enough economies of scale from iPhone sales to be able to afford to release the iPad at a shockingly-low price for what it had, with a pre-made software ecosystem already available.
Perhaps Apple is repeating that general pattern with Apple CarPlay and Apple Car, perhaps not: we will see, but how much longer?
iOS 16 is a bit of a disappointment
And still no restart phone option smh
iOS slowly embracing customization options of Android.
when do you chrage your watch if you use it to track sleep?
Apple be like “why make our own car when we can take over everyone else’s car”
I think you finally found your voice marques. Casual with a dash of snark. I liked this video well done. Nice announcements from Apple. I guess it’s time to upgrade the ecosystem.
