I know love iPad than Samsung Galaxy Tab S since that’s what I want iPads, to have external display support, since I love me some second display… and I can use a second display for it while drawing art so that I can use a Paperlike protector while seeing a better view of my art in a second display, though I’m still looking at my iPad, the second display is just for color checking…

I love these updates. My only gripe is that iPadOS 16 is almost entirely useless if you don’t have an M1 iPad, just slight visual changes and a weather app. No stage manager, no display scaling, none of the under-the hood changes. As an iPad 8 user that sucks ass.

Ipad weather app just looks like an expanded view version of the iOS weather app, so calculator would prob just look like a really nice expanded graphing calculator.

I liked a lot of what Apple announced, but Stage Manager frustrates the hell out of me. For years now, macOS has had the worst window management on any operating system. Before showing off Stage Manager, the lead up had me hoping they would finally cave and implement window snapping and tiling features. Nope. They doubled down on stupid to get this, Stage Manager. I swear, every now and then Apple has a serious case of “not invented here” and try to reinvent the wheel. Often when it is something that is already in one of its best forms elsewhere, Apple’s solution will come out of left field and puzzle everyone.

Windows has wonderful window management tools in Windows 11, various Linux distributions support snapping and tiling windows (with some offering truly incredible tiling features), Chrome OS supports window snapping, so does Android and its various desktop modes such as Samsung DeX, Motorola’s Ready For, etc. Needless to say, I think Magnet, BetterSnapTool and alike have nothing to worry about. It will still be one of the very first things I install after booting up a new Mac.

Why not? Better performance overall and it also saves them money from making the bionic chips

I am a long time Apple Hater, and damn, these features look gorgeous. I just bought a Z Fold 3 last year, otherwise, I’d have seriously considered an Apple phone. If Apple keeps with the same trend, I don’t mind jumping ship from Android.
