Hey Marques! Just wanted to quickly check in and say: if you liked that bottom right widget on the first shown Lock Screen, I would be moooost happy to send over our beta version. :)) Our baby app is called Gentler Streak, and we are drunk on being featured on that keynote. DRUNK! 😀

I really not liking Apple focusing so much on the ecosystem features and not just ios in general in the iOS updates

I don’t use most of the features

So “ios 16” it’s mostly just custom lockscreens for me

Pretty meh for an entire new version of ios

I am really hoping for a MacBook SE by the time M5 releases at something like $699

Curious if Apple thinks all of the big Auto makers will implement their next version of CarPlay if Apple will be competing directly with them on a new car in a few years? My guess is that Apple is not planning to do a full car. Who knows, but it seems strange that they would come out with a version of CarPlay that addresses all of a car’s features from A to Z if they are also coming out with a full blown Apple car in a few years…save all the CarPlay greatness for the Apple Car if they are indeed planning to build it. After all, according to them, 79% of customers would prefer a car that has CarPlay…

It would be great if apple can give us an option to change our backgrounds in messages like Samsung. Make text message more customizable and fun!

I agree with your assessment about the Pro and Air. I just don’t see a reason to get the Pro. Touch Bar and fans. That’s it. The 1499 options are almost identical.

The continuity camera feature is he dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Why doesn’t apple just put Face-ID in the newer mac notebooks? They already have a notch that’s large enough to support it, and its just wasting space at this point. While I’m happy to see that iPadOS 16 is getting a weather app, I just wish that the overlapping windows were available on non M1 iPads. I currently use the 2021 iPad Pro as my main computing and work device and im tired of having to use shiftscreen just to utilize my entire external monitor.

When we will have an update operating system for whole populations. Like what really is a smartphone and like these dumb big development construction projects? Like the ethics, something, like what is the hierarchy? I’m not an expert but like in the effort to get us all on board did we miss something. Like a big something, list preventing the next next computer colony. Geez I’m mean the next next computer ghetto.

I think it makes totally sense that apple only make the steps into the automotive world just with the software. The marginal costs (hope i‘ve translated it correct) are, compared to a car production, nearly not existing with software. It is also the next step to a huge source of data which they can generate and extract and this is 10x more worth compared to a complicated and expensive car production.

I do not have car play in my 2018 Toyota but the Bluetooth interaction with the IPhone and car is outstanding. Amazon music works great and have a lot of control from the steering wheel. I am a windows user but I have the Iphone and tablet and the watch, is a MacBook in my future.
