Thank you for mentioning the calculator on iPad, even in jest 😂I’ve been wanting it for a long time! Alsoooo, do you think they’ll keep the 13’ MacBook Pro with touchbar? Personally I loved it for video editing and thought it was going away. Hope this is a long term keep, was pleased to see one with an M2!

The iPad Stage Manager “desktop mode” is embarrassing. It’s needlessly restricted both with respect to it only being on M1 iPads but also how it doesn’t actually let you have freeform multitasking. Instead it intervenes, limiting you to 4 apps on the screen and only in a stack which prioritizes the foreground app, completely missing the point of multi window multitasking.

I can plug my 3 year old Note 10 into a monitor and have a more powerful, flexible desktop interface. Apple truly doesn’t want you to ever use your iPad as a laptop replacement. Such a waste.

When I got my new car, the selling factor for me was the new year model had Apple car play and the previous year model (the one I went in with the intention of buying) didn’t. I ended up getting the new model 😅

I generally don’t drive cars with infotainment systems, but the CarPlay bit doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. What auto manufacturer is going to allow Apple to take over _all displays_ in the car? The instrument cluster is very much an aesthetic part of the car and they are stylized to match the car. Are auto manufacturers really going to let the look of their car be “ruined” by Apple slapping generic gauges over the “cool” and “stylish” ones they designed? Feels like there’s also some liability in letting an external phone handle critical car information. Maybe I’m wrong and Apple already has everyone on board, but I just don’t see this ever actually going anywhere.
