The 79% statistic doesn’t about requiring CarPlay doesn’t surprise me. I’m an Android user, but I was buying a new car last year and wouldn’t touch anything without Android Auto. No way I’d shackle myself to a new car for many, many years without the capability. It even kept me away from my long-preferred brand, Toyota, which has dragged badly in opening up AA access in their vehicles. (They are a bit better with CarPlay.)

So, long are the days of multi video call viewing with different clients? whatsapp, skype, viber, to see us then our desks sometimes whiteboards without moving cameras. it worked! true it wanted the equivalent number of cameras but it worked pretty well. it’s impressive but i think the multi-client way can’t be dismissed yet.

I also tried to find glasses with camera between the eyes being perceived as a webcam by video call clients, when i wanted to show up close something on a whiteboard or large tv or anything else. not much success on this, only custom solutions. from business to soldering it’s a long and costly way for a couple of acceptable prototypes for actual use, that don’t have wires and glue sticking out of it. it does worth it but man it needs an enthusiast’s infrastructure that doesn’t come cheap by any means

I used to work at a BMW dealership and I was surprised apple used that “fact” because many customers walked away from cars when they discovered it didn’t have CarPlay lol

This update wasn’t a WHOLLEEEE lot for me, I was kinda for MacOS Big Sur like icons and more wore widgets to put on the lock screen, like messages and social media icons with how many notifications that you have for them on that icon

Well car system navigation sucks or long, however i remain curious to try the Sony one designed for S visions but excepted that one…

So new car play is welcome this IOS 16 bring news feature more interessting IOS 15.

as someone who bought a 4th gen iPad Air just a few months before the M1 iPad Air came out, finding out the multitasking features in iPadOS 16 will be M1 exclusive is immensely heartbreaking
