my only point on the CarPlay aspect is manufacturers still need to build out their own infotainment because there’s a large chunk of the population that doesn’t use carplay. I’m specifically thinking of my parent’s generation. They either don’t want it, don’t care about it, not sure how to use it, or think why do we need to use it when the car comes with one that’s basically the same?

Also as Rivian and many other electric car manufacturers have realized, actually making a car is damn hard. And then manufacturing it is nearly impossible for new companies. Apple avoiding this for as long as possible is probably a conscious business decision.

But why they added features to lock screen? Doesn’t make sense to me. I swipe very fast and normally don’t stop on lock screen at all
