Hi, I would love a 27″ iMac but with upgradeable components so things can be upgraded as needed. I had a 27″ iMac (late 2015) and it was destroyed during a move to a new location. I bought a new 14″ M1 Macbook Pro and Studio Display and I love them but the 27″ iMac was the perfect computer, really. Thanks for the vids. I love this channel!

The soon to be released Samsung’s 5K monitor, ViewFinity S9 will be a good option as well.

All I know is the 32 inch apple monitor is way over priced. $5,000 or more is ridiculous.I just want a monitor to hook up to my MacBook sometimes. Todays laptops is all the power you need for most things.

Have a basic iMac 24 M1. Could really use more video processing horsepower and about to give up waiting for a 27″ iMac M2 pro and plan to get a MacMini M2 Pro + Studio Display. $$$$$$

I have the 27 iMac intel. I probably would opt for the mini and monitor even if apple did come out with the newer iMac

Have never been a fan of the all-in-one concept. One point of failure and everything goes – what a waste. Had MacPros with add-ons back in day. Have been using Mac mini for years and love the versatility (can even craft a desktop cabinet/stand to incorporate everything.) One Mac mini and a display/keyboard in a couple of locations and you you have a “portable” mac (sort of). Will be updating the mini in the near future.

The specs that you showed in your video (around 1:15) for the 24-inch iMac stated the pixel dimensions at 3380×2520. Should be 4480×2520.

I purchased a new macbook pro a couple of months ago. I was looking at the 27″ for all the reasons you that you stated, but since it was dropped from the lineup I choose to get another macbook. I would love to see the 27″ or larger come back and I wish the memory was upgradeable. Thanks Gary

I currently have a 27″ Mac and love it. However, when it has to be replaced, I will opt for the Mac mini (currently available with the M2 Chip) and a display. Other manufacturers also offer displays with camera and microphone. I like the option of replacing individual components if and when one of those components fails. Thank you for your presentation, Gary, you are such a gem in our Apple world.

Given the popularity of 32″ 4K stand alone displays and that 27″ is considered a budget screen it seems to me that a larger screen for the iMac just makes sense. Why not a 32″ 5K Studio Display that does not cost a fortune?

I have a 2k monitor with an M1 Mac Mini and it works great. Added a Scetre TV as a 2nd Monitor and as long as I do videos there while keeping the 2K for word processing & Reading!

I have the 27” 2013 and it’s on its way out. I so wish there was a 27” or larger. I’d buy it! I’m used to a bigger screen.

The proposition of the former all-in-one 27” iMac was/is unique – a good computer coupled with an excellent display at an affordable price and the possibility of expanding easily RAM and internal storage. A very attractive solution for both pro-summers and professionals alike and still a valid one. And yes, i do want a 27” or larger iMac.
