its for the same people that bought the m1. Own an agency and can easily use affinity bundle / fcp and Apple motion no problem. Kinda like youtubers that pump out the same info over and over the mba can be used by +90% of people. The power user will use the pro / max or studio. This is not rocket science.

I’m planning to buy a MacBook and keep it for at least 5y (currently using 2009 white MacBook). I’m not a video editor or a programmer, but I’m thinking of buying M2 for the long term. Would that be reasonable to exclude the M1? I’m even considering the 14in M1 pro

Hi mate, love your video.
do you think that the M2 air, with upgraded unified memory (16 gb), would be a good solution for live shows (would be mainly running a DAW with audio tracks and maybe minimal some plugins) as my MacBook pro (2015) has become to unreliable. I already have an M1 mini for production at home.

The reason it’s $1,199 in the U.S. and €1,249.00 in the UK is probably because y’all add taxes in your price tags while the US likes to omit them from the list price to make it more attractive to the consumer.

I’m not geek, just did the ridiculous and spilled coffee on my loved 11 year old Macbook pro.

I need a new Mac, it’s July 3, and have decided to wait til the M2 Air comes out. I like it because I love the MagSafe port, and want to future proof the machine. Neither issues were raised. Personally, I am sure there is enough power here because the ten year old machine still manages… But will it be so in 5 years? If so, what machine? What upgrades? I heard issues with Ram, because of only one Nand chip so it used SSD memory for overflow capacity. would it be better for future proofing to get more working memory?

M2 Air is for everyone who wants an Air MacBook starting from June, 2022, period. Just forget about MBA M1. It’s worse in every single aspect (except its price). Just go to the store and see by yourself. 500 nits vs 400 nits brightness, better and bigger display, 40% better GPU is enough to make a decision. There is no need for a discussion here. Just don’t listen to random YouTubers who justify buying outdated devices by saving money. Trust me, you will regret buying a device from 2020 in 2022. Best regards! (random YouTube commenter)
