Running Catalina 10.15.3 in mine without any issues
I own a 2011 MacBook Pro also! Nice video. My trackpad isn’t clickable and the battery performance is terrible. But for home use not bad.
I still use a mid 2010 13″ with a dual core processor. Use it every day. Have upgraded to SSD and maxed the ram out to 16GB. I can’t go past High Sierra but it ‘s a great machine.
I have MacBook pro 15″ late 2013 and the only thing I need is to replace the battery!
Using my mid 2012 MacBook pro… not sure if I should wait.
short answer no, cause there’s no USB 3
…Still got my 2013 MacBook Pro, bought from New…
Hey man! Loved the video! Question: I also have the 2011 MBP and thinking of upgrading to the 2020 MB Air.. any thoughts or advice?
Well I use a 2010 MacBook so why not use 2011 version 🤣 my Mac running high Sierra
Can someone explain to me how tf he edited videos on a 2011 MacBook pro
4:12 butterfly keyboard?
So I recently bought an iPhone and dusted off my wife’s old 2011 MacBook Pro to join the ecosystem. I changed the track pad, changed the battery and added additional ram. I did a factory reset.
The system works great. Runs smoothly. No performance issues. However, I can’t get more than 3 hours out of mine. I calibrated the battery but still no better.
Thoughts? Can’t find a solution that works.
Great info! When I look up my macbook pro it says mid 2012. Is that ssd hard drive still compatible? Right now it is painfully slow so I need to do something with it to make it useful.
Can anyone help me?
What is like the most budget friendly macbook pro for 4K video editing and photo editing?
The programs that will be used are lightroom and final cut pro
I still run my MacBook Pro 13″ (mid 2012) just fine. Be it with an SSD and 16GB of RAM. Still does it.
Posting this comment on my perfect 2011 17″ MacBook Pro. It’s not my daily driver anymore of course, but I used it for several years and even got the logic board replaced when it failed. Free. Depressed High Sierra is the last version it can run and that will fall out of support before Christmas. Sigh.
Incredibly stable machines.!! I still have my 2011 with updates and it runs great.
I use one still on high sierra, 16gb ram, 2 hard drives and runs 10.4.4 fcpx with no issues although export can take a while but it’s still earning for me.
The 13″ 2011 models in recent years have started to overheat and even changing the thermal paste doesn’t solve this. This is why i recommend going for the 2012 models instead… you also get USB 3.0 and HD Graphics 4000
Watching from 2012 MacBook Pro. Hope it last 5 more years!
