Mine is still working pretty fine on MacOS Catalina 🙂
8:55 did he say spit ????
Does this supports Catalina?
As you’ve mentioned I won’t be able to run the latest version of Final Cut but I was wondering if it’s possible to get an older version? I’ve got my mac for the last 10 years and it’s still in a good shape. I’ve just purchased some extra RAM (upgrade from 8 to 16GB RAM ) and SSD hardrive. I’m planning to do some video editing and really hope that I will manage to get any software. Many thanks for any feedback!
I m running on MacBook pro 5’5 mid 2009
running on Catalina
I paid 800 bucks in 2011 for a used mid 2010 15inch macbook pro. It was a really good deal at the time. This thing is still running without any problems. Upgraded it with an SSD, cheap and well worth it upgrade. Looking back it really was an amazing purchase.
Is this MacBook still good for DJ applications or DAWs?
Whats the price value for this laptop?
Apple Glow Love it! Still using a late 2011 15inch Macbook pro
I was given a 2011 15″, i7 8gb ram etc. The discrete video chip was a dud, a known flaw with this particular model. As a result, it had become a paperweight. An SSD with ubuntu pre-loaded onto it with a couple of extra scripts and I’m laughing, especially since the battery was freshly replaced not long before I acquired it. Linux is never obsolete.
I know this video is a little older now, but I have a question and hope you can help. Same issue here as I have an late 2011 MacBook Pro. I literally just upgraded my hard drive last week which greatly improved my speed as things were slow and very lagging. Well my wife, just yesterday, purchased me the new Air as a gift. She bought before I upgraded my hard drive, which now it seems as if my old 2011 Pro is brand new. What difference will I see if I keep the new Air rather than having her return it? Thanks for your help.
Yeah they are dirt cheap I picked up a working one for 80$ mint for it’s age no dent very clean sold for 250$…. Then another one for 50$ though that one needed a new battery and hdd connect common on A1278 still a good deal….
I need one for video editing
Mine’s a 15″ so hooray for graphics card failure
I still use my early 2011 macbook pro every single day , usually work on it for over 8 hours a day. I had the hard disk replaced by a 480GB SSD and upgraded the RAM memory to 10 GB a couple of years ago and it was like getting a new laptop. It’s still super snappy.
I though the butterfly keyboard wasn’t introduced to the MacBook line until 2015.
actually I have one and I want you to show me how I double the ram because I have 4 2 I want it more and please tell me if I can make ram 16 gb or I can not
Mines not aging well at all. Nothing is supported, cant update anything. My last straw was when recently I found out I cant use microsoft office apps anymore, kinda important. Im PISSED. Never buying another apple. They purposely fuck over the software of every device over time, happens fast! This shit was almost $2500 not even a decade ago. Fuck.
I got 2012 macbook pro it runs great got it end of 2020
yeah cause today 2021 I’m still using one but it is still really cool
