I did a complete overhaul on my 13″ mbp late 2011, Samsung 860 Evo SSD, 2x Timetec Hynex IC 8GB ram cards, upgraded to a sata 3 cable and lastely I replaced the thermal paste with some good ‘ol Arctic MX-4, now doing all of this has literally brought new life to this old mbp and I love it
i use a windows gaming laptop lol. sister has one of these old things, and just bought the M1 pro
i am whing this on my 2011 macbook pro
The last version for 2011 macbook pros was high sierra and not sierra. Although no matter how much you upgrade, even the high sierra is no longer supported. Microsoft office 2019 recently stopped supporting high sierra. Even if you put an SSD and 8 gigs of ram(the maximum upgradeable), it’s just not recommended as you’re stuck on old OS. With the M1 mac, there’s absolutely no reason to hold on to this old buddy.
i need that wallpaper at 0:40
VRAM makes a difference in graphics performance. If looking at 15 inchers, look for optional 1GB VRAM models. This makes running an external 2.5k monitor possible.
I’m looking for one of these for garage band a light work as they are cheap
I am using a 2011 MacBook pro
I upgraded RAM to 12 about 4 years ago. I am on the 3rd battery, however. May swap out for a new SSD drive. It take forever to power up. It has been a great computer for 9 years now.
my 2011 mac got its final update as high sierra though…
Someone can tell me if it is worth it buying a 2011 MacBook Pro in this days? Because I Always I am using Word, Doing slides and of course using Zoom, and I don’t know if I buy it , I can do all the things that usually I do! If someone can help me, it would be a pleasure
I was still using my MacBook Pro Late 2011, two days ago I just replaced it with a MacBook Air (M1 2020)
right now I’m using a late 2011 macbook pro, intel I7 (2.9 GHZ) 4gb RAM and 500gb hard drive. Would it be worth it to upgrade to 8bg or 16gb of RAM?
*Kudos to this best dudé at 1.G Davetechie he’s the óne I can only recommend*
I converted to iPhone about a year ago and just ordered my first Mac a few minutes ago and got this same laptop, I thought I ordered a 13 inch MacBook but after I ordered I noticed it’s the MacBook Pro so I’m really excited lol
Watching on my 2011 Macbook Pro. Debating getting a new Mac.
No, it isn’t. Maybe if you have an old Macbook and you’re willing to give up 90% functionality. People are not using this as a main computer all day. Sad to say, I was desperate and almost fell for this. Doing gimmicks for clicks ain’t it. Some people might mistakenly take these videos seriously. It does NOT work!!!! Do not buy a used 2011 model and think this will net you a viable laptop.
This is one of the few positive reviews for this MacBook. Love it
I still have my MacBook Pro early 2011 and have a question about the power cord. The cord is frayed and I would like to replace the cord without the adapter. I can’t seem to find one without the adapter. Is this unique to this model? Thank you for any suggestions you may have!
Thank you for your videos!
Is it possible to do podcasting from my 2011 MacBook Pro? I have had a hard time figuring out if I can get a better GarageBand on this computer
