Bad Granny is actually a deep analysis of the decay of a lonely elderly woman’s mind, as well as how the opportunistic nature of those around her, stealing instead of providing support, causes her to turn violent. My theory is that Bob is actually her grandchild, and realizing the fact that his granny is senile, begins stealing her personal possessions. This symbolizes the pettiness of family members squabbling for inheritance. She them turns to the wall, defeated, and runs. This symbolizes her desire to run back to her youth, her health, her long dead family and friends. But this is futile. She is stuck in this reality of loneliness, where the only way she can protect her home is to turn to murder.
