Just… Going to the actual doctor is so much bullshit and runaround that literally half the time is resultless… Im just saying for me personally these internet doctor things really help me atleast… and seeing everyone shit on better help when the alternative may not be much better -> (healthcare the way it is ) and it sometimes even tho it’s stupid, its like well those people like me probably won’t get help otherwise…

I know there’s a lot of controversy surrounding better help but it might actually be helpful to some people. I’ve thought about getting it myself just bc I need a little extra support and don’t have time to go to a real therapist. Of course it’s not a substitute for a actual therapist but sometimes it can help just getting your frustrations out and getting someone else’s point of view. I’ve also read a few comments on here that said it actually helped them. Tbh I don’t fully remember the whole controversy surrounding it but I remember that it had something to do with how they were marketing it as being a substitute for a therapist and having “actual licensed therapists” talk to you when in reality that wasn’t the case. But this was also at the time when Shane Dawson was big and I think he had a role in the better help controversy if I remember correctly? Idk I just think it’s kind of unfair to judge it unless you’ve actually used it
