in germany the first floor is caled “Erdgeschosst”(Groundfloor) and the second floor is caled “erster stock”(firstfloor)

In british english, the american first floor is actually ground/main floor and the one above it is first floor. It was correct, you just suffer from being american

In regards to the first floor/second floor and main(or ground)/first floor split – that’s just how the rest of the world outside of NA does it.

8:00 Well, technically that’s how floors are named, at least in Europe. It’s the ground floor (usually no. 0 on an elevator), and then first, second, etc.

Being an Australian where the “main floor” in this game would be the ground floor, and the “first floor” would be correct I remember being exceptionally confused in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney when Phoenix goes up to the first floor from the basement to make a phone call, wondering why he didn’t just go outside, so I sympathise with your confusion but in the complete opposite way
