It is probably called the first floor because the guy is not an AE speaker. In German for example the first floor is the “Erdgeschoss” and the floor above the one on the ground is the “Erste Stock” or first floor if translated directly. The British also call the one on the ground ground floor and the one above it first floor.

I rarely comment anymore but Danny, Better Help is NOT a good therapy option to promote! Their advertisement is fishy vs the layout of what actually happens behind closed doors. I wasn’t gonna say anything and just skip that part of the video but then I saw others speak out so I am too!!

Lol from the granny game – in Europe the floors are named this way. The bottom floor is called the main floor or even 0 floor. The next floor up is the 1st floor. So I’m guessing it is just made by someone from Europe.
