in the uk the bottom floor is usually referred to as ‘ground floor’ and then the upper floors being first floor, second floor etc which probably explains that thing. also i feel like the grandma game is just a ripoff of the games ‘hello neighbour’ and ‘granny’

For anyone confused about the “main floor = first floor & first floor = second floor” thing- its probably a result of the game being created by someone who speaks a language other than english- i know in french, the “first floor” is called the rez-de-chaussée or the “ground floor”, and the second floor is called the étage premier, “first floor”. Not entirely sure if this is accurate, obviously i know pretty much nothing about this game, but this si just my best guess 🙂
(AND NO IM NOT FLUENT IN FRENCH MY SKILLS ARE EMBARASSING)
