The floor naming isnt uncommon, lots of hotels and other highrise type buildings have lobbies/main floors, and then label the 2nd actual floor as 1st

Actually in some countries (Germany for example) you call the first floor something else (wouldn’t make sense to translate) and the second one first floor, so this game has probably been developed by someone from a country where that applies

This is frustrating danny, by your logic are we living in the 20th century too huh? When you walking outside, not in a building, you aren’t walking on the first floor right? You are walking on the base level, no floor up, no floor down, just the base of the earth. No when you enter a building on a floor which is the same level as outside, you havent gone up or down a level from when you were outside, so you are still at the base floor level, then when you elevate 1 level up you move to the first floor. Then when you go up again, meaning you have gone up a level 2 times, then you have reached the 2nd floor. When you go to a big car garage to park your car in the big city or something, the leveks are labeled in the same fashion right? Or when you take an elevator right?
