So in Germany, we have the erdgeschoss which equals to what americans(and probably other people but Idk) call the first floor. The erdgeschoss is basically floor zero for us. And then comes the 1. stock, which equals to you guys’ second floor. I don’t know why this is, but I imagine other countries/languages have this too and it would explain the vase/first floor/second floor controversy

In most countries outside of the USA, what you would call the first floor is called “ground floor” or main floor, and the second floor is the first floor. ✅

A lot of people here are complaining about BetterHelp, but most of these complaints fall under what I’ve experienced wirh licensed IRL therapists. Few are both not homophobic and not theophobic so most of them will criticize some healthy part of you, they are absent and bored, they hide in the bathroom during your scheduled time that you pay for, they hold no reserves about gossiping about your life story, and they sell your number and email to different companies. You have to go through many therapists that you pay a lot more for, and go through the trauma of whatever they take out on you, before you find someone who can actually help you heal. So I think the criticism of BetterHealth comes from people with little experience of supposed quality in-person therapy. If you are matched with cruddy help, you have to just try somebody else. It’s still a better option for people who are too anxious to meet a therapist in person or who can’t access IRL therapists.
