Main/ground floor and then first floor is actually a UK thing.
“it’s gender norms the game” so a very realistic simulator then
Why are Dannys comments getting flooded with comments about BetterHelp but I never see comments on Anthony Padilla’s videos even though he’s constantly sponsored by them, please share that message with Anthony as well
Danny the way the first game talks about the main floor and the first floor is the european way, we start one floor lower than the americans
That talking horse looks like a specific dictator
horsey
Rest In Peace Alex aka technoblade you will be in our hearts forever 1999-2022 🐷👑
In the UK we call the downstairs floor the ground floor, and the first flo9or above the ground the first floor
As a Brit, I’m on bad granny’s side. That IS the first floor, Danny!! 😡😡
I think I can explain the first floor thing a bit.
In the Netherlands where I live, we call the first floor ‘begane grond’ (ground level) and the first floor is upstairs.
There are more countries that do it that way.
The “main floor, 1st floor” thing is how you can tell that the Granny game was made by someone in the UK
(or somewhere else in Europe??) — that’s how they refer to floor levels and it’s confusing and annoying as an American bc it’s one of those things that you never anticipated being different somewhere else. Also, I just personally don’t think it makes sense, but . . . . obviously as an American I am biased. I lived in Scotland for a while and it was weird getting used to that — I used to try to think of it as the floors corresponding to the number of stair cases you had to go up to reach them, which kinda helped. Anyway, it fed something in my soul to see you being bewildered by it as well, lol!
Ok, HOW on earth is Kevin am accountant!? He is 18! Forgive me if I am wrong…but don’t you need a college degree and license to be an accountant? Either that is a HUGE red flag on Kevin or he is a child genius who sped through 4-6yrs of college and became an accountant at such a young age.
“”As Wikipedia puts it: “In most of Europe, the “first floor” is the first level above ground level”. We consider and count as floors the “layers” above the ground level.””
In Spain the first floor is your second floor, and your first floor is our ground floor. Floors start from 0 and up, not 1 and up
The first floor problem is a cultural difference! In some countries first floor is the ground floor, and in some the first floor is the first floor after climbing the stairs.
Only Americans call the upstairs second floor here in the UK it’s, ground floor then first floor. No idea where they call it main floor.
isnt the last one a ripoff of talking tom and talking ben?
cool greg pillows!
In Europe (at least Austria) it is the norm that we call the 1st Floor “Erdgeschoss” (Ground Floor) and start numbering from the second floor on upwards. I guess thats why they do it in the Grandma Game.
I gotta say though, this is one of the very few instances where I think America has a better way of doing it than the rest of the world.
