Outside of the US, the second floor is acually called the first floor so that segment was a bit painful to watch lol

For the first game: with British English they call the first floor the ground floor and the second floor the first floor. I imagine the game was probably made by someone who knows British English.

The horse one reminds me of a game that was popular years ago of a talking cat. It was basically the same thing, but the animation was a bit cleaner. I think it was called Talking Tom. And people would say something to it and then have it repeat it to somebody else’s phone so the two would just repeat back and forth at a higher and higher pitch until it became indecipherable screaming

the floor situation isn’t really weird or surprising, i’m pretty sure it’s a european thing
In poland for example we call what an american would consider to be the first floor the “parter” or the ground/main floor, our ‘first floor’ is the floor above it, which would be an american ‘second floor’

The confusion probably comes from a translation error. In German the first floor is the “Erdgeschoss” (= ground level / main floor), and the second floor is “erster Stock” (= first floor). Also, the top floor is “Dachgeschoss” (= roof floor). This might be similar in other languages as well.

for the first game that’s actually how they do the floors in france (idk about any other countries)! what you would call the first floor, that’s the main floor, and then the second is the first, and so on! 🙂

The whole first floor thing is actually how the European system works. Although it’s mostly called the ground floor and not the main floor.
