The first floor/second flour thing is probably a cultural thing. In my country the ground-level flour is flour 0 , the one on top flour number 1 or first flour and so on. I remember being confused myself when learning that in the USA and other some countries it’s not the same!

the whole ‘main floor, first floor’ thing is the standard in europe, calling them first and second floor is more north american. so that at the very least isn’t wrong, it just means the devs weren’t american

Im pretty sure someone from Europe developed the granny game bc the “second floor” thing is something people do in the Czech Republic and idk if in other places in Europe too. So basically they call the first floor the “ground floor” (kinda like the 0th floor) and start numbering from there… it’s Interesting and very confusing

Exactly in other countries the first floor is the main/ground floor and the second floor is the first. I learned this in my French class.
