Okay so about the main floor/1st floor thing. Us Americans are just so silly calling the 1st floor the “1st floor.” See, in other countries, the 1st floor is called the Ground or Main floor, and the 2nd floor is actually the 1st floor.

For those concerned about the BetterHelp sponsorship, it’s my understanding that BH has improved a lot since some of these critiques we’re first raised. Cinema Therapy made a community post about why they’ve chosen to work with BH again, here’s a snippet below. They include links to these sources that I can’t copy and paste into the comment.

I think there are several countries that count floors as follows: groundfloor, first floor, second floor, .. and so onwards. The last staircase would then lead you to either the attic or roof.

A lot of people have mentioned that BetterHelp is a pretty controversial company. I won’t assume Danny knew about that beforehand, but I do think it’s his responsibility to properly research his sponsors before promoting them, especially if it concerns mental health. The problems with BH’s service were highly publicized in 2018 and these reports are still extremely easy to find, so Danny really should have been aware of them. And I do feel like this is a recurring problem with Danny’s sponsors, for example when he reiterated some dubious claims of VPN sponsors.
I understand that seemingly decent sponsors are probably hard to come by, which explains why so many youtubers promote sketchy, low-quality products. I’ve kind of just accepted that when youtubers try to sell me something, it’s probably bullshit.

There are countries (like Romania) that call the first floor “main floor”, or as we call it here, “parter”, and the second floor is always the first floor.

im sure you’ve seen the other comments, but yeah, a betterhelp sponsor is not a good look for you danny. im willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but please do more research next time.
