Being someone who has lived in India for 24 years ( my entire life), the floor numbering has always confused me. In the Hollywood movies it’s called the first floor while everyone around me (who follow the British English system) would use the term ground floor. I still have an occasional tendency to forget and end up calling it ‘ That floor with the entrance’
