Naa it depends on what you value and want. I mean, the MacBook Pro is way better If you want a brighter display, better battery life and a fan for the future. The Air is better if you hate the Touch Bar, want something that’s a bit nicer to type on and that’s silent all the time. So… I’d say they’re about the same. None of them are worse than the other.

Great video, but terrible Linus Tech Tips title. Recommend not calling it “Worst M1 Mac”; just honestly say not recommended to buy. Apple premium tax of $300 is nothing when buying Apple products. That is not a good way of negating one product over another. Point was well made differentiating the M1 Mac Mini’s lack of ports. Point should be made that the Macbook Air lacks a fan. However, as shown in the results, the fans really aren’t needed.

Hi Max, I think you are getting more negative reviews because more of the video of late regurgitate info in previous video. Over half this video was shown in previous videos and this won’t work for loyal regular viewers. Just my constructive feedback for you.

I have the M1 Air and I absolutely love it. It’s my first Mac and I’ never going back to windows. MacOs is so smooth and I love the gestures, the keyboard and the chip in here is on another level. I have the base/cheapest version of the Air and its perfect for college. It runs all my software buttery smooth and I can’t get over how good the battery is.

Just for reference I use Adobe, Autodesk, & all the ERSI geospatial software. (ERSI runs on windows virtual desktop better than natively on my own PC)

If some one like me; lives in Middle East, MBP will be always better than MBA, because of the high heat in our countries, MBA includes a FAN. Actually I’m waiting the high end of MBP because Apple are going to make new MBPs includes two FANs which is so good.

I’m thinking of getting a MacBook Pro but will wait to see what else it’s gonna release and hopefully improving that camera. For me it’s just for personal use so would you recommend base model 8GB , 256GB.

I think the portion of the title “The Worst m1 Mac?” is clickbaity and makes it look like Max Tech is desperate for some material right now, and raises a question that makes people hang on to the end just for a simple answer that had nothing to do with the main content of the video. Just have “M1 MacBook Pro Review after 3 months” would have sufficed.

The M1 MacBook Air is my first computer purchase since 2008 when I got a Compaq laptop. So, ever since the first iPhone. The new M1’s are an amazing first dive back into the computer world with its design language looking a lot like the iPhone’s. I ordered the 16gb RAM version and waited 4 weeks for delivery. Keyboard feels amazing and its fanless performance has been mind blowing. It’s been a bit of an adjustment getting used to playing Netflix from their website rather than a dedicated app. Editing photos and videos is a way better experience on this cool-running laptop. Can’t wait to see how they will improve on this awesome first gen!

I’m 27, finally saved up for a Macbook, and I’m switching from windows after 15 years. Bought this 16G 1TB MBP, and Apple ecosystem completed. I’m so thankful for the convenience and productivity it brings.
