I think Apple will apply A16 costdown/less-performance version to iPhone 14 instead of A15 on iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max

@2:35 You underestimate Apple. They will market things that are “technically” worse. “Chipset isn’t everything”, just cuz a device is newer, people will buy it.

I’m not even excited about iPhones anymore. I used to be up to date and no I don’t even know which gen we are on. I bought an apple watch for the first time a few months ago and I didn’t even know the version.

what is taking so long for under display cameras that are actually good? The fold 3 had it and it was decent ish. So by now we should have them in actually good quality soon while still being underscreen right?

i cant believe Dave is like 40+ years old. I’m 25 and i feel like he looks as young as me if not younger AND i’m even Asian with fairly good skin / relatively clearer complextion.

How many apple users actually know about the chip in their phones? You will not be able to distinguish between A13 A14 A15 just by using the phone anyway.
All apple needs to do is make it identifiable on the outside that it’s the newer model. Apple is really honing all in on their core customer base.

We need longer battery life more than this 20% faster than last year crap. It’s irrelevant now. Invest that money in battery tech.

I feel it could a performance issue as well, like this A15 is powerful like very powerful chipset, but you cannot tweak the same SIZED chip again and again to get better performance, you are bound to hit thresholds and limitations. Which is why theyll use the same chip and for the normal models and for expensive models”pro” with more internal space the “max one” could be a bigger chip from now on the experiment

Clearly this is not the first time this is happening, we saw the M1 pro max doubling in size

iPhone 14 = iPhone 13s

Same chip (even if it has extra GPU cores I don’t think it’s a real change)
Same dual cameras
Same 60Hz display
Same notch and same exact rear design but with new shades of same colours
At this point is it really an iPhone 14? I.. don’t think so. People were saying 13 should’ve been called 12s but this is an even more minor change.
