I have the m1 pro and 4K 120 video of a little choppy w Final Cut Pro. What an I doing wrong. Any tips for not using proxy?
Could u pls tell me if PREMIER pro n aftereffects would work smoothly on the macbookpro m1pro chip laptop
How are you using your iphone? As a some sort of shortcut base?
Oh my gosh, yes! The oil on the keys! Agree about the velcro too. Amazingly, we have the same history with Apple devices, I went from a 17″ MBP to a 15″ in 2014 to my new 14″ M1 MBP Max (with 2TB) purchased in May this year for nearly £4000. I now use the 14″ MBP as my music prod computer, replacing my Mac Pro trash can. Yes, snappy is the right word but when editing in FCP (I’m a novice!) I’m a little surprised by the fans kicking in when working with full fat 4k files. Do you edit using proxy files? I’m finding this stops the fans kicking in. Great channel by the way, loving the content.
I really appreciate this video! I want to purchase it with the exact same specs and you said you got the baseline model but upon putting it in my cart online it didn’t match up it was way less expensive. im just curious of any additional upgrades you made when purchasing!
this is by far one of my favorite reviews on this Macbook
💯✅
Last week I bought the 2021 14 inch MacBook Pro with 16 GB of Ram, and I have to say, I am disappointed to far. I use Final Cut Pro with roughly hour long clips. Contrary to what he is saying in the video, I often find the spinning beach ball on my screen. MATTHEW if you have any tips, help a brother out. HMU
This is awesome, I am looking to get this M1 MackBook Pro 14 or even the new M2 ones that are coming out here at the end of the year. To be honest I am not seeing a huge difference that is going to be in the M2. Thanks for all the feedback on this M1 Macbook Pro!! I am looking for a new computer since my current Mac Book Pro is 2016 and it literally overheats watching a Youtube video, so I am looking to upgrade before the year is over. I will be using After Effects and Premiere Pro so this seems like the one to get that can handle anything it is thrown at.
Thanks so much for this 🙏
How much ram is right for the Mac Pro for video editing?
sweet =)
This is eerily perfect for me. I’m also struggling to edit videos on a 2013 MacBook Pro looking at upgrading to this exact model. So…thank you?
Hello Matthew, I want to buy a MacBook Pro for my study (I’m a chemical engineering student). I don’t use much heavy software but I’ll use some software with Parallel Desktop. Can you recommend a proper model for me? I have not used a MacBook before, so I have no idea about it. But I don’t really want to buy any other Windows laptops which slow down so quick. Hope to receive your reply. Thank you so much for your video.
Ordered the MacBook Pro 14 inch with the Pro chip and 10 cores yesterday and boy is it Christmas today! 🤣 Waiting for the delivery guy to come around the house like he’s Santa! While waiting, watching reviews, accessories tips and so forth. Your video stand out! VERY informative. Fast but not too fast. Fun to watch too. 👊🏽
I want to buy a new Macbook Pro M1 14in for video editing: youtube videos, documentaries in 4K and music videos. I need something that can work with After Effects, Premiere and Da Vinci Resolve to edit, create effects and color grade.
My budget is limited however. I can get the basic model for 1750 in a deal but I am thinking if spending an extra 550 to upgrade it to 32GB is worth it. Any advice or thoughts? Thank you in advance.
THIS is the review I was looking for! 🔥 So basically, with the 14inch MBP you can easily edit videos on FCP without struggles 😀 ……but I’ve got 2 question Matthew:
1) how about the fans? do you hear them while editing/exporting?
2) what’s the specs of this mcp u have?
Thanks so much for the reply 🙂
Great video-to the point! I’m keen to buy the M1 pro 14” (with an external monitor for video editing). I was wondering if the 16GB option would suffice my need for editing on FCP. I’d like your view on this one. Thank you!
Amazing Video. <3
I am planning to buy a new MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14" . I am a photographer & I mostly use Lightroom and P-Pro for editing. I hope M1 Pro will be good enough to handle everything.
I watched this video wanting to have both a new macbook for editing remotely and have my mac studio at home. You mentioned you do this. Do you have a video explaining how to edit the same project on the two separate devices?
