Love the review – thanks. One thought…. Zero battery anxiety for NOW but in a few years…. ARGGGGGG…. Some day ALL battery life anxiety should be just gone!

I saw Archetype Coffee in the latest video. Omaha resident here. New sub now as well. Nice work on the video and channel. I love my M1 16″ Pro seriously tuff and handles anything I can throw at it. I have a M1 13″ as well as a M1 mac mini both spec’d out as much as they could be and this 16″ eats right through them in final cut.

I replaced my entire graphic and video set up with the 16”’4TB 64GB MBP Max. Yes, it was pricey but I have worked all day on that machine on one charge of the battery. It does everything I could ever want it to do effortlessly. My entire working environment now fits into a shoulder bag. WHAT? Are kidding me? I now work wherever I want. My future plans are to get back to traveling and the M1 has finally arrived. Over the past couple of years, everything about working has changed. I’m shooting with the a7SIII and photos with the a7IV and editing with this MBP…. I’m in awe! I’m stunned. I also turn 67 this spring, and to start travelling again and also being able to edit anything I want, when I want, and where I am it’s a miracle.

As an editor, what chair do you use for those sessions? I’m 6’8”, tried the secret lab Titan xl 2019, but had to return it. Looking for suggestions

What’s your opinion on the 16GB vs 32GB debate, on the M1 Pros? If you plan on keeping your laptop for at least 5 years… would the 32GB be safer?

nice one! yes the M1Pro and Max are amazing to make work smooth again…but yeah I feel your pain, with all the stuff I have to connect to my M1Max Setup … but got it working somehow … all ports in use (only MagSafe is not since I get the power from my CalDigitTS3 dock) anyways… quick question… what mixer app are you running on the iPad in your edit bay (at 7:02)

Another great video Matthew. I love my 16’”M1 Max MBP. Mine has a 4tb SSD and I LOVE not having external SSD hanging off the side but I can still have several big video projects always ready to edit.

Great video, Matthew. Quick question: what type of 4K footage are you editing? 10bit 4:2:2/4:2:0? H.265? I’m a Sony A7SIII/A1 user and wondering what to expect from FCPX in terms of performance.

I’m looking forward to the magic! I have a desperately struggling 2014 Macbook that is just not keeping up with my professional work anymore… even Google Docs. Oy. Unfortunately all the 14″ MBPs have been sold out for months around me (and I want trade in credit lol) but gonna snap the next batch that come in stock! Excited!

I literally have a 13″ MacBook Pro from 2015! YES 2015…and I will soon get the 14″ MacBook Pro M1 Max, I totally relate to this video as I am also using Final Cut Pro fro my YouTube videos and freelance work. I can not wait to get that new baby rolling

Great content. I got a hard decision which one should I buy between 16 vs 14. For travel manner 14 inch better and for enjoy enjoying in big screen 16 is great. Is Basic model 14 inch is more than enough for photo editing for high megapixel and normal video editing not highest level video editing?
