Greg, you missed something! At around the 8 minute mark when you begin talking about fully spec’ing the Mac Mini and comparing it to the Base Mac Studio with the same $1999 price, you forgot to factor in that with Mac Studio, you get a 10Gb ethernet port at no additional cost, but with the Mac Mini you get a standard 1Gb. Unless you opt to pay an extra $100 for the 10Gb port, which then puts the Mac Mini at $2099. Basically you are getting a slightly BETTER deal with the M1 Max Mac Studio just off of that 1 little detail!

I’m wondering if the M2 Mac Mini has the same issue as the M2 Macbook Air – if you order it with a 256GB SSD will it only come with a single chip and half the performance like the Air? I would either wait for reviewers to get their machines to find out or order 512GB to be safe.

I believe one other difference is the Mac Studio can’t run a display at 120hz.

You raise a great point about the M2 Mac Mini vs The Mac Studio!

I literarily contemplated the same thing before watching the video. I guess the question is, will the price of the Studio remain at 2k or will it go up. 🤔

I guess we have to wait and see! 🤷🏽‍♂

Both are the same price here in the UK… So… is is better to have more GPU cores (32) and 2 fewer CPU cores (10) or fewer GPU cores (19) and 2 more CPU cores (12)? I suspect that the SSDs will be faster on the Studio (2x2TB) and it will likely run cooler. Tough call.. Would be good to see comparative tests. I wonder when we will see an M2 Studio?

My guess is that the Studio will perform better overall because of the faster SSD. I think that you’re right, when it happens the M2 Max Studio with 4TB will be the one to to buy!

Really thinking about it. But i need 16gb ram and 1tb ssd. And its getting expensive again. Especially for me, because i need an external monitor.

I definitely don’t have FOMO…I got my m1 Mac mini for $599 brand new on sale 2 years ago…thanks Amazon 😎…works great looks the same as this one….I think this would have looked smokin hot at half the height….but no same exact thing 12 years later 😢

Well i think the reason why they lowered the price down is because the 256gb nan chip issue. Its probs the same chip as the ones in the base macbook air with m2.
