the m2 pro still looks like a good deal if u compare it to the m2 macbook air. unless u need portability or quietness why would anyone get a m2 air. hell just the m2 base mac mini is a better deal

Apple does not call it the M2 Pro Mac Mini. The website shows it as the Apple Mac mini with either the M2, or M2 Pro SOC. Feel even with all the power of the M2 Pro SOC that Apple is putting this in the consumer desktop part of the grid.

Also get over wanting a GQ fashion update to the looks of Apple devices like the Mac mini. Do you want Apple to put fins on it? Maybe a black, and gold plaid look?

You are more than likely are going to get one of these new Apple Mac mini with the M2 Pro SOC to review. Let us know if it states Mac mini Pro on the outside of the box like the Mac Pro does.

The spec bump to the professional laptop part of the grid with the new MacBook Pro 14/16-inch M2 Pro, or M2 Max SOC is great. Thing is if you now have an M1 SOC device that you are happy with, and it is doing the job you need it to do why update. Sorry if you are still running an Intel Mac unless you only use it for eMail, IM/text messaging, and content consumption you should really look at updating to a Apple M series SOC device.

Loved that Apple could just drop these upgraded devices with a news press release, and a video presentation.

Here in Sweden the Mac Studio hasn’t been updated for Apple’s new currency rate (USD->SEK), so the 10/32/512 Mac Mini with 10GbE ends up being around $50 less than the base Mac Studio.

im thinking that base version with 16gigs of ram will do me just fine. I had the M1 and found 8gigs wasn’t quite enough for what I was doing. Retail in Canada is $799 (Cdn) plus $250 for the extra ram. Not cheap, but it should be more than I need for a decent amount of time.

Yes the mac mini is great. But if 8gb ram and 256 gb ssd is not enough for you the value for money is absolutley gone. Its just insame how the can sell something that costs them not more than 50 dollars sell for 500 more!!!

i dont think that people who are willing to spec their mac mini out that much are even in the market for one in the first place – they’re already looking to buy a Mac Studio (either current or the eventual M2 version). These youtubers need to understand that only a very few percentage of customers actually buy something other than the base models – we’re not all content creators dude.

No one mentions that you’ll need to buy a display, keyboard, and mouse for the Mac mini.
Can’t believe apple doesn’t include a keyboard or mouse with the Mac mini or studio.
