At 16:14 time stamp. You did pretty well up to this point. I had to go back and rewind to see some of your blue pointers. Need to slow the blue pointers down every time you show them. You almost lost me. Translation, I know you know this subject matter, I’m trying to learn it.
Still hanging with you at this point.

Love your work, thanks 🙏
Wasn’t there an app called something like IFTTT that let you create ‘scripts’ to automate tasks on your iPhone?
Bummer at 16:36 you lost me at … tap on the eclipses …
I don’t understand why instructors assume everyone knows what they know. Why not continue your “blue” pointing process at the slow speed so us newbie’s can continue to follow along?
I will keep following along to see how this comes out.

Summary of the beginner tutorial, started easy to follow, but towards the end, you sped up on the key learning points when following along. You have exceptional training skills. You just need to to keep your audience in mind, the newbies are trying to learn this simple stuff. It’s understanding the symbols on the screen and what they mean. You kinda came up short in those areas. I admit the video started great, but diluted the instruction towards the end.

You should add stop at the end
Good vid, keen for more advanced shortcuts video!
My favourite shortcut is to automatically set a different wallpaper for each focus mode – so when I go to work I give myself a more plain wallpaper, when I work out I have a more energetic one etc. I’ve paired this with different home screens for each focus mode too so that I get my to do list, calendar etc. for work and fitness related apps for working out.
Very well explained. You are a natural!
I love the idea of shortcuts but for the life of me, I can’t think of one shortcut that I would use or one that would save me time.
I have got a couple on my watch though. The Face changes when I get up and at sunset.
Would love to see how to make one to call someone in facebook messenger app. I can’t figure that one out
Great video to get people start using Shortcuts. I´ve made a lot of them myself and love it. One of them is at night, when I´m in bed and ready to go to sleep. I select the “good night” shortcut and it turns my Philips Hue lights off, asks me when I wanna wake up, so I select a predefined alarm, set my phone to do not disturb and then I´m ready to go to sleep. Another simple, yet useful one, I call it “websites” I have made a shortcut so that it asks me which of my favorite websites I wanna open, I select one and it opens that page for me in safari. Simple and useful.
I can not thank you enough for this video! I always wanted to be able to use shortcuts as I knew and heard it’s an amazing tool but was clueless on how to operate it to a point where I actually deleted the app out of frustration. You made it so very clear and easy to understand so I downloaded it again and having a great time creating my own simple shortcuts for everyday simple tasks. Thank you!!
What Shortcut I need is to turn on/off Privacy, location services. That feature is a battery hog when left on. I only want to use it whan I really need it. thank U
Is there a way to create a short cut to open the library on the kindle app. My mother in law is having a hard time remembering how to go the the library to get a new book. So I was trying to figure out how to do this and am not having any luck for I thought of this that maybe this would be a good way, my I am very new to suing short cuts. Not sure this makes sense but if it does could you give me the steps on how to create it? She is 87 and we ,I’ve 2 hrs away from here. And she has a hard time doing what I ask her to do.
Hey. First off they way you explain this is so easy and i am easily able to stay focus on your lessons. (NOT AN ESAY TASK FOR ME, I HAVE EXTREME ADHD).
Most of this video I already know, however the way you explain this, i know the rest of the videos i am going to master the shortcuts app.
Anyway manythanks and I’m off to the next lesson
Great app is shortcuts and videos like yours will be responsible for shortcuts to be used by millions of IOS users. Why? Because you made a tutorial that makes a feature used mostly by power users available to anyone with half a bag of smarts. Thanks.
I have created a couple of shortcuts. One that sends a WhatsApp message to those at a restaurant table with the split total to be paid by each party.
The second shortcut is to calculate how many liters of LP Gas to order based on the latest reading from the wireless gage, taking into account the max capacity of the gas tank.
Cool video. Thanks
Really helpful! I have to take photos for work sometimes, which I email to my work email which is a bit of a faff. I’m going to set it up so I have a work email button to automate it. Thank you
I recently switched to iPhone from Android and never ever had a hot pocket with an android phone. Why does iPhone put the camera and torch available while the phone is locked? Absolutely crazy thinking, unless they want you to drain the battery? Cut short the life of the battery?
Thank you …
