Just discovered your channel. Have just subscribed. I like your delivery and presentation. Hope the channel grows from here!
Doesn’t this create pages of shortcut buttons to go thru? I haven’t seen anybody use siri in public in a long time…… I don’t use siri at all because it doesn’t understand half of what is said…..by the time you fool with her, you could have done the couple of clicks and been done. The reason why macros work on spreadsheets is the fact your using a mouse/trackpad or shortcut combo. You would be pissed if you had to tell you mac to do macros only for it to work sometimes. Siri still needs alot of work…. she doesn’t understand half of what an amazon alexa does..
Is it possible to automate third company apps with this ?
this is super helpful thank you!
Your ‘get me home’ shortcut is already built into iOS. Providing you have your address on your contacts card, all you need to do is say ‘hey Siri get me home’. I use this all the time and have never made a shortcut.
Another great tutorial on a very useful iOS app! You are the best tutor of all things Apple I have ever seen on YouTube! Thanks you… I’ll sign up for Morning Brew!
Hello from Texas. I enjoy your clear and interesting explanations of iPhone features. Good to see the Texas flag on the Morning Brew app. I trust good things were said.
You fast have became my ‘go-to-guy’ when it comes to iPhone tutorials. Very simple, engaging, and useful. Thank you.
Exited about getting down and dirty with Shortcuts. I work with data analysis and used to write a lot of scripts for the web and think I’m reasonably clever.. but when Shortcuts was released I felt like a right plonker who didn’t, like, get it.. The only shortcut I have created and use is an automation on my iPad which Bluetooth on and off at specific times (I’ve noticied on my 6th gen that it saves a lot of battery power).
It will be nice if you include the step by steps in comments. Thanks
Thank you 👍🏻. Look forward to seeing future videos on Shortcuts.
Watching your videos is creating a real dilemma for me🥲 It’s so informative that I don’t want to loose focus even a second. But your voice is so peacefully nice and soft that I just want to sleep while listening to it. So now I watch your videos twice 😂 First time to get the information, second time to calm down. Thank you for this nice content 🥹🥹🥹🥹
This is a very cool app.
There is something similar on Linux too.
Basically at least in Pop OS, you can create custom keyboard shortcuts for any task you want.
But the only drawback is that you need to know how to program that in Bash or know the perticular set of terminal commands that you need to execute to perform that task.
I have set some basic shortcuts for the frequently used apps and tasks that I frequently perform, to make my workflow very productive.
Combined with Gnome extensions, this becomes a very powerful and productive system.
I love such things about Linux personally, it gives you the ability to set your system up in your own unique way such that when it’s set up, no other OS can make you more productive than this.
You’re a great teacher giving clear and precise instructions. So many others say “click here” or “press there” which, when trying to follow them, are next to useless needing stopping and starting vids. Really looking forward to your series on shortcuts. Thank you and keep up the good work..
And here I was thinking of getting rid of this feature because I thought I’d never use it. In the first few minutes, I’m convinced not to.
The App itself is quite frustrating. Many times I try to create a shortcut but have problems with data input from one bubble to the next. An otherwise simple task like changing phone wallpaper can get quite technical. It shouldn’t be this hard.
Was going so well until I heard “jif” :p
Gentleman, finally i know how to use that app! (Y) Thx a lot for ur effort to make this video for us <3
Proper Honest Tech for LIFE 👊❤️⚡️
Just found your vid. I am at the 9:36 time stamp. What I like, your pointers to show me what to click and why. Translation, you have slowed the learning instructions down and made it easy to follow up to this point. Most other basic tutorial instructors have put their jet packs on by now and are flying through the tutorial. At this point I would give a big thumbs down and exit. You have a double thumbs up so far. I will keep going.
