Deck flex is a cons huh? Check out some of the recent custom mechanical keyboard, we put some major “deck flex” in there for typing feel
12:45 Upselling at it’s finest 🙂
Back to quality videos
You always had the best and data backed points that most tech reviewers miss out , that nerds are crazy abt , kudos to that , but man the ad sequence you added , dont repeat that again its a sincere request from a fan
It would have been nice to watch this vid before I ordered an m2 mba couple a few weeks ago. Seems like I might regret my purchase 🙁
This sponsor cut (ahaha i see what i did there) was absolutely hilarious. Thank you
Great video! so comprehensible!
I think the air makes more sense if you’re upgrading. If I need at least 16gb of ram and 1tb of storage then I’d need to pay at least 2500$ for a 14in. I could get the air for 1800$ with 16gb or 2099 with 24gb. So its not as clear cut as it seems. Plus with it’s higher single core performance its better for bursty workloads
What a great review
Agree with the review and most of the sensible comments. The M2 Air is great. Pricing wise makes no damn sense.
It is insane to me that no one talks about the terrible response times on these supposedly great screen.
great analysis and great points m2 is just new and shiny,
I actually made that same decision, and got the M1 Macbook Air from Apple’s refurb store. Mine has 512GB of storage, the full 8/8 core M1 chip, 8GB of RAM, and cost me $1679AUD, compared to the $1899 for the base model M2. MagSafe would have been nice to have, but I already have a USB C hub plugged into a charger to use with the Lenovo laptop I have from work.
The M2 Macbook Air could have been a no brainer. I love how it looks, but enough to spend the $500AUD extra over what I did for a laptop that performs a bit faster. The NAND chip issue shouldn’t have even been a consideration given the price of these machines. I understand the decision, but it feels incredibly dishonest of Apple to claim these speed increases for the M2, but then not clarify the SSD. Even now, at least on the Australian site, there’s no mention of the fact the base model has much slower SSD speeds than the other models.

Your tech reviews are amongst the best that Youtube has to offer!!
Your extensive research, your depth of knowledge and (most importantly) your unique perspectives are just amazing 🙂 Keep up the awesome work
this is such a quality review man, well done!
So in short, the M2 MBA is a phenomenal computer, but the M1 MBA and M1 Pro MBP are just so much better for the money. That seems to be the common take for most reviews
Coming from the 2018 MacBook Pro I absolutely love the new keyboard on the new Air.
BUT what happens when they optimize the operating system to actually work with the hardware instead of having to use the emulator rosetta.
